Bought for my 12 year old son. So far it seems to work well. Definitely adds a stiff texture to the hair. The hold is loose. It’s easy to just tousle the hair back into a “messy” look, which is what my son was going for. It has a pleasant smell.

The way I use this product is by washing and conditioning my hair, drying it about 75% of the way, and shaking it around in my hair. I ruffle it around to my liking and then add some hold spray to keep the form. Some days it looks great... some days not so much. Pros: easy to apply a little goes a long way not hard to mend with your fingers nine times out of ten gives a solid result Cons: extremely messy, will get all over your bathroom counter unless you do it over your shower TERRIBLE to breathe when this is being applicated. Breathing in that fine powder feels awful. A little expensive, almost runs like a monthly subscription When holding spray is added, it becomes very rough to touch. Overall it works well for what it is, but could use more product in the bottle. **ALSO** washing this product completely out of your hair can be a nightmare. What I do is to use coconut shampoo and then conditioner. I find myself needing a LOT of conditioner to do this.

This product really delivers. It adds volume and control to your hair without being greasy, thick, shiny or wet looking. I haven’t finished the first container and I don’t know about its value because it’s pretty pricey, but it works.

It works as promised but leaves the hair with a hard super dry texture. I bought it for my son and he doesn't stand it on too long and ends up washing it off.

I saw this product on a social media ad and looked at different reviews and thought I'd give it a shot. In all fairness, I thought this product was going to be a trash-gimmicky item I wouldn't even bother writing a review for. However, to my surprise, it has absolutely changed how I style my very straight and boring hair. As directed, I get my hair wet (like taking a shower) try until only slightly damp at most, and sprinkle some of this stuff on and it takes a minute or so to style to how I want. Stays up all day, and my hair texture seems a little softer. I've used all sorts of different pastes and my hair never stayed the way I wanted or even styled how I wanted - I no longer have that problem thanks to Tribal Chimp. A repeat buy, fair price. I must say, I highly recommend this product.

Tribal Chimp hair styling powder is pretty good. It did great on my son's hair as he has a lot of texture on top. It does not stay white once it gets mixed in well. Helped with easy messy hairstyle look all the kids want these days. My hair... I need a hair cut and my layers touched up. After a couple of hours, it went flat. This powder does leave the powder residue feel just like any other powder I have tried. Overall price point point I can't complain!

This is an interesting product. I had seen it advertised some time ago, then it came back up, and so I finally decided to give it a try. Use Notes: it does instruct you to put it on dry hair; however, I feel like that's a little misleading - I first tried to put it on my hair immediately upon receiving - in the middle of the day, well after taking a shower, and it did not seem to do much - just really made my hair smell like the product, but didn't do anything for styling. I ended up washing it out, lol. The next morning, after taking a shower and towel drying my hair, I tried it again. This time, it actually worked - the trick for me was to use it right after a shower, immediately after drying the hair, but while it still had some residual moisture in it. How it Works: with that little bit of moisture, it seems to stick to the hair, and it actually causes the individual hairs to stick to each other, as well. It makes the hair noticeably stiffer, and maleable, while not appearing greasy or product-y, which is nice. Also, after wearing a hat, it still allows me to reshape the hair when I take it off, which is great, too. All in all, I think I will keep using the product and will buy more when this is gone. It's probably the best thing that I've used, and it's quite affordable as it seems to last a long time.

I bought it for my grandson because he's always trying to gel his hair to look like the teenagers He's only 11 but very mature for his age He has dark blonde hair and it works amazingly well he loves it I'm not sure how it would work on dark hair But I have told him you have to shower every time in between so that it doesn't accumulate So far, we're very happy with the product. Thank you. I recommended it to a couple of my friends and I think I might try it too on my bangs I'm 73 but what the heck why not try it

If you’ve got thick, healthy hair, steer clear of this stuff. It’ll turn your locks into a brittle, breakage-prone nightmare! Trying to brush or style it? Forget it—it dries like cement, and any attempt to comb through will leave half your hair on the floor. But hey, if you're going for the Nick Nolte mugshot look, this might just be your holy grail.

Great Product. Took a bit to get used to. But works well.

With this price for a small item (10mg) I expect atleast the packaging is worth the price. The box is not sealed and the powder opening not sealed as well. So when you open the powder is spilled on the cap. You can’t say if its new or used also.
