Q: What gauge wire is on the converter?

the 24V to 12V 40A conversion has a VERY undersized gauge wire, 12ga. all wiring charts show 8ga minimum for 40A. 12ga is for 25A. The product has very thorough specs, but missing the important one, wire gauge. I have suspect the 40A is a peak rating and continuous rating might be in the 20 to 25A range. I bought this to convert the 24V battery bank to 12V common voltage. I will need to identiy all the loads that will be put on it to determine if a 20-25A converter is adequate. My battery BMS is rated for 250A yet they put 2ga wires on it rated for 120A. How can these companies use sub-standard wiring and claim to past various certifications?

you need to use a different inverter 1 from 12 volt to 12volt than your input from15 to 16.8 will come out as a stable 12volt

It should work and provide 48A-H at 12V when supplied by a 12A-H 48V battery. You do not want to load the 12V beyond its 30A max output or the corresponding max output amps of the battery.

I’d expect so. Not too sure on what you’d loose in efficiency.
