Hebrews Bible Study Book: The Nearness of King Jesus

This book is best used in conjunction with a video and generally done in a group setting. Lisa Harper is vivacious, thorough, and incorporates humor into her study, making for great interest

The book is in overall good condition. The cover has a slight bend in it but there are marks or highlights inside.

Bible study book was a little cheaper on Amazon so why not buy it there . Great study

Anything by Lisa Harper is excellent. Used this study with a live zoom group. I loved the insights that I learned about Hebrews.

This study was so full of personal anecdotes and so missing anything of real depth. I was so disappointed. Hebrews is such a rich and profound book. Personal stories, etc. help to make the content more relatable, but Lisa gave far too much time to them at the expense of digging deeply into the wonderful truths of this book. Yes, it should also be made very clear that it is a video-based study so people wanting to do an individual study can know that from the get-go.

This study is no holds bard. Lisa teaches what the preacher taught. Her delightful southern charm accentuates the point she is trying to make with a “sit-across-from-girlfriend-story” that you get wrapped up in only to have the point of what the preacher is getting across whap you on the head in to a “duh-moment”.

This is a wonderful study. The study leader is dynamic (our church had the videos to go with it) and keeps your attention.

We did this bible study at church in the Ladies Group. I thought that it had good description and was thought provoking.
