Nutritious and Delicious
I’ve been switching to healthier food options lately, and this brown rice has become a staple in my kitchen. If you’re looking for a wholesome, fiber-rich alternative to white rice that still tastes great, this is it.First off, the quality of the grains is excellent. They’re clean, uniform, and free of debris. After cooking, the rice comes out fluffy, slightly chewy, and nutty — exactly what good brown rice should be. It holds its shape well and doesn’t get mushy or overly sticky like some lower-quality brands I’ve tried before. What I appreciate most is that this rice is versatile and satisfying. I use it for everything — stir-fries, grain bowls, soups, even as a side with simple steamed vegetables and protein. It pairs well with almost anything and makes every meal feel a bit more wholesome. From a health standpoint, it’s packed with fiber, essential minerals, and complex carbs, which help keep me fuller for longer and support better digestion. It’s a great choice if you’re trying to eat clean, manage weight, or just feel better overall.Cooking it is straightforward — I usually rinse it once or twice, then cook with slightly more water than I would for white rice. It takes a bit longer to cook (about 40–45 minutes), but the nutritional payoff is worth the extra time. The packaging is also great — resealable, sturdy, and keeps the rice fresh for weeks. I appreciate that there’s no strong odor or strange aftertaste, which I’ve unfortunately experienced with some bulk options before.Overall, this brown rice is now a must-have in my pantry. Whether you’re focused on health, taste, or both, this product delivers. It’s affordable, filling, and a great foundation for nutritious meals.

Great taste and texture compared to "plain old white"
This rice has a very slightly nutty flavor, and a great mouth-feel. A nice change from plain white rice. It's stout, can stand up to any recipe without turning to mush.If you want to cook in a standard rice cooker soak the rice for 3 or 4 hour minimum then cook on the "regular white" rice cycle.

Tastes much better than standard long grain brown rice
I don't like brown rice. I bought this item during a sale as a treat for my chickens and sheep. However, I tasted a handful of this rice when it came out of my induction rice cooker and was pleasantly surprised how much better it was than the run of the mill brown rice you get from the local grocery store.I cooked the rice 1:1 water to rice ratio on white rice setting, and it came out sweeter than the premium short grain Japan grown rices and the medium grain California rices I keep to rotate depending what I'm making for dinner. Now I still 100% prefer a top quality short grain or medium grain white rice that's preferably newly harvested, but if I had to switch over to brown rice for health reasons at some point in my life, I would definitely choose a brown rice that is short grain or medium grain. Now I do have to caution you that I don't get the same results with this rice when I cook it with a less expensive rice cooker like the standard $20-30 single button style machine that absolutely doesn't care what rice you're cooking and will burn the bottom of ALL rice varieties. The induction process gives me a sweeter rice with a better texture. The cheap rice cooker I keep for potlucks at rice yields a far less sweet product that is however still superior to conventional long grain brown rices.BTW I do caution you to wash this rice and check for debris. Sometimes I have to pick rocks or small pieces of dried plant material out of the rice. I think Nishiki is still figuring out the processing and sifting of brown rice since their white rice has always been immaculate.I highly recommend picking up a smaller bag of this product and giving it a try.

Best rice I have ever bought in my life
I cannot recommend this rice brand enough. The flavor, smell and texture of the rice are perfect. No bugs. Good quality. Good for rice making devices. Rice comes out the perfect consistency and stickiness.
