This was a definite cost saver. Wasn’t hard to use and has been working great. It’s a lot better solution than replacing the whole section, and a lot less work.

Well, so far, so good. I saw a few drops of water emerge from the opening. I am just waiting for everything to dry out so I can make a final analysis.

Followed included instructions and worked great - no further leaking. Repair cutting tool made insertion into rubber easy and .25 inch plugs fit. Toughest part is making sure you have the correct rubber tube for top and bottom cuts.

Not the easiest repair as the cutting tool doesn’t easily slice through, but overall it’s doable by someone of average handiness. The repair has held up for almost a month. Much cheaper than getting a solar company to come out.

Bought these thinking I could plug a hole in the panel. After installation still had some leaking. After researching further on youtube the best way to fix a leaking channel is a #12 stainless steel pan head screw. Cut the channel from the main tube, put the screw in. Done. Works. No hassle trying to find where the tube is leaking or trying to jam the plug into the channel.

I tried using the plugs that came with the heater didn’t work use the plug that came with kit slides right in works great
