I picked up this sandalwood soap to try something a little more natural and fragrant for my daily wash, and after using it for a few weeks I have a fairly balanced view of its strengths and weaknesses. Pros: One of the first things you notice about this soap is the scent. It has a warm, woody sandalwood aroma that feels more refined than most mass-market soaps, and it doesn’t fade as soon as you lather up. This makes showering feel a little more like a self-care ritual than a chore. According to the description, it’s handcrafted and cold-processed, which should help preserve the natural glycerin and give a richer, more moisturizing lather than cheap commercial bars. The lather itself feels smooth and creamy. It cleans well without leaving a heavy residue, and I didn’t find it stripped my skin the way some harsher soaps can. It also seems suitable for use all over the body, and because it’s marketed as natural and vegan, it’s reassuring if you try to avoid products with a lot of synthetic additives. The size and weight of the bar are generous compared with typical drugstore soaps, and even with daily use it lasts a solid amount of time. It also looks nicer on the shower shelf than plain white bars, which is a small thing but worth mentioning if presentation matters to you. Cons: Because this is a true bar soap that uses natural oils and glycerin, it doesn’t have the same silky feel of some liquid body washes. If you’re used to very soft, sudsy products, there’s a bit of a learning curve to enjoying a bar soap again. Some people might also find it slightly drying if they already have dry or sensitive skin — traditional soaps can remove oils more thoroughly than creamy body washes. The scent, while pleasant, is strong. If you prefer very mild or unscented soap, this might be a bit too bold for everyday use. Also, natural soaps like this can vary slightly from bar to bar in texture or lather because they’re handcrafted, so expect a bit of inconsistency compared with factory-made products. Overall: This sandalwood bar soap delivers a classic soap experience with a rich scent and reliable cleansing power. It isn’t going to feel exactly like a modern shower gel, but if you appreciate natural ingredients and enjoy a more traditional bar soap with personality, it’s worth a try. I’d recommend it especially if you like a fragrance that lingers and a product that feels a bit more artisanal than typical store brands. And the value for the money is great!

Lovely scent, exfoliates well. Will buy again

I love all of the Bali soaps I have tried. I swear that their soaps have the gentle caress of Mother Earth as their main ingredient. My skin feels as soft as a baby's when I get out of the shower. I've tried ylang-ylang, sandlewood, vanilla and the Magnolia Champaka. They are all amazing natural scents. I can't wait to try all of Bali's offerings. The Magnolia Champaka may not be to everyone's liking, but it is a lovely light, almost ethereal floral. Spiritually, it lifts my energy levels. This particular scent lets me transcend the world's troubles. It's a scent that you will likely LOVE or hate. I can't see anyone ambivalent to this fragrance. My tip for increasing the longevity of your bar is as follows: find a soap case for travelling, or another suitable case for your soap. Place your soap in the smaller side of the container. It will stick to it after use. When finished using the soap, place the soap perpendicular to the larger side of the case. This will allow the soap to drain and not turn into that soapy mush that sucks in the life from a precious bar soap. The image is my Bali Ylang-ylang that I've been using daily in the shower for 6 weeks. It is only HALF used. I'd say that you could get 2.5 - 3 months from a bar of this wonderful soap if you take care of it and let it dry between uses. I'm going to mention here, that I am quite scent sensitive, sometimes having rather violent respiratory symptoms from scented items. I have not had a single episode triggered by Bali's ylang-ylang, sandalwood, vanilla, or Magnolia Champaka.

Natural, aromatic, and leaves skin soft as ever. This cinnamon soap from Bali Soap has become one of my favorites for everyday use. Its warm, spicy scent is delicious and relaxing, perfect for starting or ending your day. It also has tiny exfoliating particles that help remove dead skin cells without irritating your skin.

Although this soap lathers well, there is zero coconut scent to it.

The size and quality of this soap is perfect! It makes my skin feel so soft and I love the fact it contains natural ingredients. My skin feels well moisturized and soft. I'm thrilled with my purchase and it smells really nice!

If I were to make the perfect soap, this would be it. I have tried every lemongrass soap on Amazon. Others have seeds that scratch. This one is very clean, no seeds. It also has a bit of sandalwood, my 2nd favorite type of soap, so having both in 1 bar is the best. It lasts longer than that other lemongrass soap as well. I have my first sub on an item as long as they don't change the formula, or I should disappear from earth in a biblical rapture or something.

I’ve been using the cinnamon Bali bar for months and it exfoliates so well. Not too harsh but gritty enough to do a good job. Love the scent too.

I bought 3 - used for 1 shower, didn't like the smell, plus there is no lemongrass smell - gave away to charity the remaining 2.

Great soap! I always bought this on my trips to Bali, but now we can't travel internationally my stock was running out. I was so pleased to find it was available on Amazon.

Cleans well Smells amazing Fresh

This soap smells good, and had delightful scrubby bits in it that make you feel so clean! We love this soap like crazy and will continue to buy it. Excellent quality and great for sensitive skin.
