Seemed promising...
Car starts, but the chime sounds endlessly after removing the key from ignition. Cannot use, back to square one.Update, seller reached out to me and has worked with me on the problem and everything is perfect now.

Good choice good quality
Unfortunately, this part didn't work for me, so I'm going to move on to replacing my ignition lock cylinder next. The part itself is made very good quality, and is a direct fit to my 2011 escape. The motorcraft part is over priced, and Dorman parts are very low quality, but this one is nice. This part can be changed in about 30 minutes WITHOUT removing steering wheel and airbag. Just remove 4 bolts and use a hammer and cold chisel to remove the sheer break off bolt from the OEM part.

Seemed good at first
It was easy enough to install, but now after 3 or 4 months the key cylinder was pulling out of the housing, and after taking the steering column plastic off again to check what was wrong, it looks like there is a small roll pin that holds the cylinder in and it was coming out letting the cylinder pull out. Also the door chime stays on whenever the door is open no matter if the key is in the ignition or not. So, I took it all apart again and it seems like their is a small plastic pin that isn't releasing all the way, which is allowing this to happen (very annoying), I hate door chimes anyway. So my advice would be to probably buy a oem Ford part, which is what I will probably do now.Edit: The seller contacted me and refunded me the purchase price. Great customer service as I wasn't asking or expecting anything back. I will change my rating based on this, but not the product.

Amazing price and worked great.
We started to have a problem with our ignition where I would turn the key and try to start the car, and it wouldn’t work. It would take me a few tries to get the car started. After a while, it started taking me a few minutes to get the car started, and then it just stopped starting altogether. My husband figured out that we needed to change this whole ignition piece, and we called O’Reillys and it was about three times as much as this part was if we got it from them! So this price was amazing for this part, and it completely fixed the problem that we had.

Lost all hope , but this $40 part was the answer to my prayers!
Spent over $200 to get a mechanic to fix my car after a no crank no start. Was told I might need my whole steering column replaced for over $600 on my 09’ escape.Tried my luck after doing some research on YouTube, ordered this part, got myself a 5.5mm socket and a chisel and replaced this part myself without the need to take apart my airbag. And she’s up and running! No more screw driver key on my ignition switch.Took about an hour to get all the wires unhooked, bolts off and part back into place.Great quality for a part and even better knowing there’s a warranty on it.Best $40 I’ve ever spent and couldn’t be more proud to say I did this myself even though I am not very mechanically inclined!
