What am i missing here, the big joe III is $400 cheaper then anywhere else, whats the catch?

I called Kamado Joe, and only grills that are Shipped from and sold by Amazon are covered under warranty. You may find a grill that is cheaper that are third party, but will lose the Kamado joe limited life time warranty, as they are not authorized dealers.

No. This unit does not come with a drip pan.

For a big joe iii, what is the distance between the rolling wheels at the bottom of the stand? i need to navigate a narrow sidewalk with big joe.

Distance between the wheels is 27.5”. However the handle & hinge at the top extend another 8.5”. The hinge is bulky for big joe.
