Invading Babylon: The 7 Mountain Mandate

GREAT READ!
Those that are apart of God’s true remnant, his ecclesia, were born for such a time as this. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Each chapter is written by someone different and they are all great examples of a true Christian and how we can be an influence in whichever of the 7 mountains we are called to. Some great testimonies in each chapter as well.

Like Caleb we can take the Mountains!
Lance Wallnau and fellow apostolic prophetic leaders have been divinely inspired from God Almighty!, to author such a brilliant work. We must be kingdom minded, kingdom oriented, and kingdom initiated! Far too long have we surrendered to an antichrist spirit that comes in many forms, and been conditioned to “stay in our own lane “. It’s time for Kingdom warriors to arise as the remnant Ekklesia to reclaim territory that was created and given for Sons of God to occupy until King Yahushua returns.

Publisher's marketing a bit misleading--the content is great, just not new
I'm a great fan of both Lance Wallnau and Bill Johnson. What they bring to the Body of Christ and the world in general is, in my experience, truly life transformational. I was excited when I learned my copy of Invading Babylon: The 7 Mountain Mandate would arrive today but now that it's here I must say I'm a bit disappointed. To be sure, the content is excellent-this review isn't about that. My disappointment stems from the publisher's marketing on two counts.#1-Perhaps I was just too eager for a collaborative effort by two of my role models that I didn't read the fine print about the authorship. The banner description lists only Wallnau and Johnson as authors. Similarly, the cover picture displays largely the names Wallnau and Johnson but if you don't click the expanded view you'll not know that Alan Vincent, C. Peter Wagner, Che Ahn, and Patricia King are also contributors. In fact, of the 6 chapters the two marquee names wrote exactly two. Six chapters, six authors. That's not what I expected. To be fair, in the book description you'll read, "Six revolutionary voices in the modern church deliver Invading Babylon." But you'll only get to that fine print if you click "show more". Again, my eagerness for this book didn't require me to "show more" before ordering it so the fact that I didn't know Wallnau and Johnson only contributed one chapter each is on me. Sort of.#2-Now, my second disappointment is totally on the publisher. No where in the Amazon write-up (and I've gone back to double-check) was I told that this isn't new material. Rather, each chapter comes from one of the six author's previous publications. Turns out I already own 50% of the content of this book. That doesn't mean that the other 50% isn't worth the purchase price. But it does mean that I wasn't informed that this was a re-mix. And that's deceptive/bad marketing in my view. So, should you buy the book. Absolutely! Especially if you don't already have the content from its earlier publications. Just check your library first for: Johnson-Dreaming with God; Wallnau-The Reformer's Pledge; Vincent-The Kingdom at War; Wagner-The Reformer's Pledge; Ahn-Say Goodbye to Powerless Christianity; King-Light Belongs in the Darkness.I'd have much preferred, and would have purchased it anyway, if the marketing was more along the lines of "Six great Kingdom advancers share from their previous works to inform and instruct your invasion of Babylon."

Insightful and thought provoking
I easily give this book five stars. It is a must read if you find yourself depressed in the face of where the world is today. Lance Wallnau and the rest of the authors see the world stage from 30,000 feet. They are big picture people who "get" what is going on. I now watch the world stage with a whole new sense of empowerment. We, as the church, can no longer sit and whine about our country falling apart. WE are part of the problem. Sitting in our own ivory tower throwing darts at the rest of the world. Time to get our hands dirty folks. Grow where you are planted. Pray were you are that God will use you, not just to save your fellow co-workers. Look at the bigger picture. Be a light, overtly or covertly. Walk into your workplace every day knowing that the spirit walks in with you. Then move in that power. YOU can take back your corner of the country. I can take back mine. And together we can collectively put the United States back in a position of being a shining hope for the world.

Every person who holds a public servant position in a secular job needs to read this book. We are all in full-time ministries to establish God's Kingdom on Earth and it is in Heaven. I have been in relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ for 28 years now. This book is helping me transition into being a mountain taker to establish God's dominion on the mountain of education. I am so very excited about this time of transition into a deeper revelation of where the Father desires to use me in. Adventures in Christ, that's what life is all about!!!!!!!! Never stop growing, going, and pushing forward in HIS will.

This book is written to what Christians call "The Body of Christ" and the book referes to this many times. But one must know that what most Christians call "The Body of Christ is not the Elect that are called "up hither"in Revelation 4:1. This is where they become the Bride of Christ that is Elijah that must first come and restore all things. It is this Bride that does the work that the book calls "The Body of Christ." All I am saying is the book could be more specific.

Inspiring Overview
I was aware of the 7 Mountain Mandate before I purchased this book, and I am a fan of Bill Johnson.Even so I have been disappointed by some books from that stable, but this is not one of them.Lance has done a great job of selecting key chapters from several key authors - and the result is inspiring and challenging. It helps to get perspective from different individuals on how this topic impacts them, and the result is a broad overview. Well worth reading.

Amazing read
Very clear and inspiring. God has called us all to many sectors. It’s a must read if God called you into something outside of the church typical activities but serving in his name.

The part we get to play in answer to our prayer: "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth......."
6 well-known Christian Leaders/Speakers each write a chapter explain their particular understanding of the various aspects of the 7 Mountain Mandate. This book is a great introduction for anyone seeking to understand how we can be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be the salt and light of the earth in every area of life.
