Q: Can I strip the outer coating of thin (32-gauge) wires without cutting into it?

You might be able to do it but I was never able to do it. Get a good pair of manual strippers make for fine gauge wire. This "automatic" stripper has no pressure adjustment and they totally destroy thin gauge wire.

Q: Will this model strip Cat5, Cat5e and Cat6 network cables?

More specifically, this type of wire stripper cannot strip "bundled wires" like cat5/6/7 or "layered wires" like coax. That said, once the outer "jacket" is removed, it should be able to strip individual wires within layers or bundles

Q: I'm a little confused what the adjustment is for? Do you have to change it for different size wires?
