This door handle alarm works like a charm.

Very loud and not too sensitive. I carry it with me when I'm traveling.

Good, solid, simple door handle alarm. HOWEVER, DO NOT RELY ON THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES! The instructions fail to mention that to remove the battery plate, you must first remove one tiny Phillip's head locking screw. Otherwise, it's a pretty neat product for apartments and hotels.

Does not work. even on highest sensitivity I had to open the door 5-10 times before it would go off. You could slam or fully open door and it just does nothing.

It's certainly loud but it also goes off for no reason which is very startling, even at the lowest sensitivity setting. For that reason I would not recommend

This little alarm doesn't cost much but its a GIANT in my book.. I went on vacation for 6 days to visit grandkids. On the second morning in the hotel, I stepped out of the shower and heard low whispery voices in the hall.. then my door knob turned and this wonderful alarm went off.. it screamed and I left it screaming while I looked out the peep hole.. I saw to men in hoodies running down the hall away from my door. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS ALARM!. Sadly when I got home again it mistakenly got tossed in the washer.. after the cycle was done lifted the lid of the washer and my little alarm buddy gave a weak scream.. and died. Even after the spin cycle it was still trying!!! lol I'M ORDERING ANOTHER!! DON'T PASS THIS ALARM UP... seriously.. buy it! update: After leaving the alarm in a bowl of rice to dry it out.. and replacing the batteries with new ones.. The alarm has survived and works like new!

I bought this product and also their door stop alarm for a trip down to NC for a family wedding. We are staying in an airbnb and wanted to feel a bit more safe while traveling with our 3 kids. We had this product on the front door and on our second night there, it went off. My son and I went to check it out and found that while the deadbolt was in fact locked(no lock on the door nob itself), the door had still been pushed open a bit. I pushed the door back closed all of the way and was so thankful for this product. I don't know who was on the other side of the door, but because of this product, they didn't get in.

I do not get paid in anyway for this review. I bought this for my daughter who travels in USA and Internationally. As a parent of a young woman, I saw this and thought it was a genius product. She stays at hotels, Air B &Bs, Hostels. I surprised her with this gift and she was very happy to receive it. She now brings this everywhere. Ease of use and extremely loud alarm , makes this a Safty/Security must have! Of course this can be used in your home for front and back doors. The loud alarm, no matter your choice of usage, would be an excellent deterrent to a would be break in, and it would potentially draw attention to your home perhaps from woken neighbor.
