Colliers Welsh Butter with Sea Salt (8 ounce)

How much do I love this butter? When I lived in NYC I used to have this butter ordered specially for me once a month through Zabars. When I moved to PA there was no where to purchase it. Relieved to find it on Amazon for about the same price I used to get it in NY. This butter has a deep rich buttery flavor and golden color. With other butters that I have used the butter flavor gets washed out when mixed with other ingredients, but the buttery flavor in Collier's comes through and enhances the flavor in baked goods such as cakes and breads. There is no acrid or sour aftertaste. Experiment by making a cake or cookies with Collier's and make one with commonly available butters and you'll see and taste the difference. One thing to note is that this butter may be a bit more salty than some will like. I'm used to it now but I do wish they would make a low salt version. Another thing to note is that this is not a "dry" butter such as may be required for use in recipes such as croissants. While readily softened and pliable it is not "wet" as some other butters are because they have so much moisture left in them. It is just a good, solid, delicious butter. Hope it remains available here.

A little too expensive and it would keep me from buying on a regular basis, so I buy it as a treat.

This is a great butter. The flavor is mild and smooth. One thing I adore about this butter is the mouth feel. It melts on your toungue and disapears rather then leaving an oil slick that coats your taste buds like cheeper butters. To expensive to bake with ( obviously) but devine on fresh bread

If you like the smooth feel of European butter, the higher fat content, you will LOVE Colliers. It is richer and creamier with a higher fat content and much more taste with just the right amount of butter (some don't have enough). It is a golden color, comes in foil, not wax paper, and shipped in great temp controlled container. Have missed Welsh butter so much and thrilled to find this source.

This is the best butter I've ever tasted--so flavorful, and a beautiful color too. When my local grocery store stopped carrying it (WHY?), I freaked out, imagining the impoverishment of a life without it. A million thanks to igourmet for stocking it and sending it to me speedily and carefully packed!

ok no different than supermarket butter. but cost twice as much

Lived up to its name. I would definitely buy this again . I am a huge Anglophile and Welsh butter which this is, is delicious I would definitely definitely buy this again.

If you like Kerigold, this will blow you away. The customer service I had from this seller was excellent.
