Best I've found! I previously used Glide floss but wanted to get away from the chemicals, so I tried Cocofloss but wasn't impressed. My dentist recommended this Dr. Tung's Smart Floss and I really like it. I have some tight teeth and many types of floss will easily shred on my teeth. This Dr. Tung's does not shred too much, and times when it does slightly tear it doesn't shred in a way of ripping or getting stuck in teeth. It also has an ingenious way of expanding when not pulled tight, so it can do great cleaning between teeth. Highly recommend giving it a try. And great minimal packaging that actually offers the easiest and most effective dispensing of a floss. Easy, Effective, Earth-friendly.

Because of the design of the floss, it will flatten to go between tight teeth and expand between teeth that are normally spaced. It's comfortable on the gums which enables you to clean deeply without irritation or pain. It's also softer and grippier than plastic floss you don't have to wrap a foot of floss around your fingers in order to hang on to it so you don't need to use as much of it.

AWESOME !! Best floss I've ever used. Love the packaging and it's so easy to cut off the length you want with the built in tool on the package. So convenient. And, Dr. Tungs floss has 'no' PTFE nor PFAS. This is a clean product and I like it much better than Oral B (which the string often breaks inside and then you have to roll the string out by hand - too much work and waste - and Oral B has the bad chemicals PTFE and PFAS that you are lacing into your gums). Ugh. I will be buying Dr. Tungs floss from now on.

I never thought I would feel so passionately about a dental tool but here we are. Everything about this is perfect.THE PACKAGINGThis is not your grandma’s flip top floss unraveled. No no, this thing is CIRCULAR, the Millennial’s favorite shape. To open, it’s an easy lefty loosey, no fingernail damage required. The string then comes through a slit in the inner ring to be cut with the standard floss cutting apparatus for which I am sure there is a name. Also the COLORS of the packaging are delightful- some are a delightful bright magenta and others are a light sea green- but ALL are a little bit see through so you can see how much of this wonderful tooth string you have left, unlike Johnson and Johnson who might run out on you before you even know you’re low.THE FLAVORNothing overwhelming here. It’s a light cardamom taste. Now I don’t know about you, but I associate cardamom with British royalty. This adds a whole new layer of fancy to this product.THE INGREDIENTSI bought my first container of this at Natural Grocers. If you’re not familiar with this store, they are stricter than my second grade teach Miss Shillito (God rest her soul) when it comes to what they allow in their sold goods. The packaging and floss are BPA free so your fertility is safe with this one. The string is made of a multifilament polyester fiber- maybe not the best for micro plastics but it does serve a purpose. The floss is coated with a beeswax blended with candelila, castor, and/or carnauba oil and rice bran wax- all naturally derived and not industrial waste products (I’m looking at you, canola oil). The cardamom flavor comes from essential oil. All of this is pretty safe.THE FUNCTIONFirst of all, she thicc. This gal isn’t gonna cut your gums like a knife as other good intentioned natural flosses will- and this is because they are too thin. Our gums are sensitive souls- especially if you already have some inflammation going on or you’re pregnant. I’ve noticed an elimination of gum bleeding and pain with daily use of this product. Also, Talk about a tooth hug. The floss gets EVEN WIDER when you wrap it around your little chewers so it covers more surface area- the point of flossing is to wipe the tooth clean, and this girl makes that easy.I highly recommend this product! I was struggling with bleeding gums for a couple of months and that problem disappeared within a week of my switch to this from another floss brand. Just use it every night before sleep- yea, every night. You only get one set of free teeth and dental work ain’t cheap.

Really good floss—easy to use and gentle on the gums, but still cleans well. It doesn’t seem to expand as described, but it works efficiently. The flavor was a little unexpected at first but grew on me. I initially thought the floss came in different colors due to the packaging, but it's just standard white.

This floss works great; better than expected given I have relatively tight teeth. My wisdom teeth were never removed and they are, for the most part, fine, but it means that my teeth are tight. This floss is very surprising because it fits just as well if not better than the typical "glide" type floss. For starters, it feels stronger so even if you pull it super taut, it doesn't break.When pulled taut, it's fine and thin so it fits between your teeth. But when you let up, it expands and has a rough surface which I imagine would be better for actual removal of material and microfilm between your teeth.Functionally, I am totally impressed and would recommend that you try it even if you're skeptical and have tight teeth.I appreciate that the packaging is almost all recyclable/compostable. Most of it is paper and works just fine (only the little cutoff is made of metal). The three pack does come wrapped in plastic, though.One little thing bugging me is that I WOULD like to know what the fiber is (is it still plastic? is it a natural fiber?)Aside from that, I'd definitely recommend this.

Yes, my parents taught me to floss. My dentist, when I was a kid, was annoyed when I came in to have my teeth cleaned right after eating sugar babies. As an adult, now I get this. My answer at the time, quit going to that particular dentist.Fast forward a few decades, today my teeth are more important to me than ever! Yes, now I dental floss twice most days. However, this product is a game changer! More expensive but it actually is worth it. Never told my dentist or his hygienist that I changed my floss and have been receiving fabulous reports on how well I am cleaning my teeth and no blood when flossing them prior to cleaning. It's our secret! Who knew such a quality product meant so much!
