I never write reviews but I always read them, so for the next person like me searching out of desperation, these are the ones. We tried everything else... Pill pockets, pill paste, various soft food, shoving it down his throat, etc. We even tried hiding it inside people food & his favorite soft foods, but he could smell it & would turn away immediately. The meds were SO bitter & they'd immediately dissolve & disintegrate the moment they touched his lip, tongue, cheek, saliva... So you literally only had ONE shot to get it in or we'd waste pill after pill. PLUS the absolute worst part, when they'd do so, he'd immediately started frothing, drooling, foaming at the mouth, gagging, retching, slinging his head. It was absolutely heartbreaking to watch & it was making us all dread medicine time. :( Not to mention, they're heart meds & stressing him out of not getting them in him wasn't doing him any good at all. These capsules have changed that for all of us. Now not only does it hide the bitter taste, no more drooling, foaming, retching, AND IF you miss getting it down the first time, the pills inside stay in tact & you get multiple tries. Plus, bonus, all 3 pills fit inside ONE capsule. Thankfully between these & pill poppers we've gotten pretty good at getting it down all in ONE shot instead of multiples. These have been a literal lifesaver, in more ways than one. Highly recommend to anyone/everyone, especially for cats.

I had to invest in these and see if I would be able to crush my cats pills since they were enormous and she is extremely difficult to pill or medicate since I rescued her and don't know her past history. I had to give her medication so I decided to crush her pills and try filling these empty capsules with the powder and hide it in her food. It worked extremely well except she had to be on medication for two weeks and eventually she started to pick up. There was something in her food. The capsules also start to disintegrate after a few minutes so either I will be lucky and she will eat it because it's softer or she'll eat it more if it's in chunky type of wet food or she actually has to bite everything not lap it up.

The only reason they are getting a one is cuz I cannot give him a zero. These things are horrible. They have no smell, no taste. They are so tiny. It would be impossible almost to fill them up. These are absolute garbage and you cannot return them once you buy them

Revised : I’m changing my 1 star review to a 4 star. I ordered a much larger size empty capsule and they work great to hide my dogs pills. I realized afterwards that this size is more for a cat than a dogs. You can split your pills to fit inside these smaller capsules and than they close up better. I have gotten used to them now after a few attempts. It’s not the capsules fault that my dogs pills are larger, so I just ordered larger empty capsules.I now give these 4 stars.Original post:Too small and they disintegrate too quickly . I’ve only used 4 times now but so far these work GREAT! My cat was on to me, I tried everything to get him to take his pill and he refused. Wet food, treats, turkey deli meat, absolutely nothing worked. So I bought these along with the Vetoquinol Pill Wrap Treats for Dogs & Cats and I put some of that inside the capsule with the pill and then I coat the capsule in the vetoquinol !
