So impressed with this product.
I recently purchased a vintage VW van that was really tired inside. It was lined with dirty grey felting and I couldn’t afford to get it relined as it would have costed £1000’s. I decided to give this fabric paint a go. I mixed the green and white and got a lovely sage green. I was very sceptical as first and wasn’t convinced it would work. I tested it on a small area which wasn’t visible and I was so impressed. Even though the felt was ridged, it sunk into the fabric and coloured it beautifully. I tried a number of different brushes and sponges and found a medium paint brush the best. I sprayed the fabric first with water which is essential I think, and stippled the colour on so it went into the ridges. The result is fantastic!!! I’ve used 2 bottles of white and one on green so far, but will need to order another two to finish the ceiling and boot. Although the paint is quite expensive and it’s costed me over £100, that is nothing compared to what I would have spent refelting it. It’s also added so much value to the camper van . I’m so pleased I’m going to purchase another bottle to paint a tired chair I have. Thank you for this product and I’ll post a picture when finished.

Lovely colour and easy to use
Really pleased with this. It’s brought my very faded bathroom rug back to its original colour. Easy to use, no mess. My rug is a bit patchy close up but that’s because it’s a 4’x4’ and one bottle was not quite enough

Judge for yourself how much you need.
I bought a 250 ml bottle hoping it would sufficient for my bucket chair. Its now dried, but it is patchy, I'm going to buy another 250 ml bottle, I think that will be sufficient. I think the product is good, really its up the individual's judgment to know how much is needed. I bought my chair from British Heart Foundation charity, it was an absolute bargain at £20! I just want to transform it from a weak mustard to a rich gold.

From dated cream to stunning navy
I used Fabricoat to transform an old dark cream stool, and the results are amazing. It took three coats to get the perfect solid blue finish I was looking for. What surprised me most was that it didn't hide the embossed floral pattern at all—it actually seems to highlight it! The paint soaked in beautifully and looks like a professional job. Highly recommend if you want to update furniture on a budget.

Easy to use
I was considering getting dye for this bag, however with the different materials I was concerned that it wouldn't take or it needed to be heavily prepped before hand. With this fabric dye it was super easy, washed the bag first and used a spray bottle to dampen it. Used a beard brush (same consistency as a boot brush) and it went on really well and covered the colour quickly and stayed well. It is currently drying but can't tell that it was ever a purple bag! I will definitely be using this again! UPDATE - after washing the bag it's kind of gone to a dirty denim grey - still usable and maybe needed another coat but that would have cost more. Still usable

Fab-u-lous dye! 👍
Quick Backstory: M&S were recently selling a Utility Style Gillet, both in Black as well as White. Unfortunately, any stores I went to there was no black gilets in stock - only white - and unfortunately we cannot buy online due to a recent cyber attack on their website. Not wanting to go home empty-handed, I had a lightbulb moment, why not just dye a white one black? And that's what I did! I did my homework carefully on dyes, as well as the fabric composition of my gilet, and settled on Fabricoat black dye. And I'm glad I did! Compared to other dyes, with Fabricoat you literally just paint it on the fabric you want to dye. Just dampen your chosen fabric first, and paint away! I used a combination of a small paint roller and a narrow brush for the harder crevices on my gilet. So far so good! I've completed the outside of the gilet, and once that's dried in a couple of days, I'll be doing the same on the inside of it. I wasn't sure if a single bottle would suffice, but I'm confident I'll have enough left to do the inside once the gilet has dried. Super delighted with the outcome so far. Very pigmented and with a slight viscous about it which makes it easy to apply without running all over the place. Happy customer, would buy again.

Definitely works, but not a perfect result.
I used this on a hat that was very sun bleached rather than throw it away. The results look great, however I gave it a bit of a rinse when it dried and the colour ran a lot (I've done this a 2nd time since and it didn't seem to run at all). So I'd be a little hesitant using this on anything likely to get wet. The other issues is that it had definitely made the fabric a little more solid and less flexible, its not the end of the world but something worth noting.

Very disappointed. I bought two of these to do a project. But after applying the second bottle it turned out they were different colors, which ruined the project.

Good quality, easy to work with, love the shade of the green. Will be purchasing more colors.

Attention, la couleur ne correspond pas à du marron, mais plutôt du rouge foncé qui vire au brun très clair en séchant…

Deckkraft auf blauem Stoff ist marginal. Dafür leider erheblich zu teuer.
