Not side folded like regular napkin so does not unfold well for your lap. You either have to unfold all the way to lay on your lap or resold in half after completely unfolding. Would recommend for bathroom guest towel no doubt but awkward as a napkin. These are also excellent for dirty cleaning jobs as they are very sturdy. Washed one accidentally in with table cloth and it did not shred held together well.
