How much does this banjolele actually weigh (not shipping weight)?

It's about 2 1/2 to 3 pounds (American) no more though. It comes with a strap if you get the right package. (And it looks like in the description above you're ordering the same one I did.) I'd reccomend using it. It gets a little uncomfortable squeezing it to your belly with you forearm like you would a normal uke. All in all I love it and my kids think it sounds neat. And it can be loud if you want it to. I have a tenor uke and it's a bit lighter and quieter. Both awesome. If you get it you wont regret it. Have fun!
