Gloria Vanderbilt Women's Amanda Classic High Rise Tapered Jean Plus Size

Ever since the "Just My Size" company vanished, I've been looking for comfortable jeans that fit well. I finally found them! These jeans are absolutely perfect! The size is perfect, and the "short" option means I don't have to shorten them! They are so comfortable, the color is just as described, and although I just received them so haven't washed them yet, the material seems durable and I'm sure they'll wash well! I'm so happy I found these jeans and just ordered another pair in a different color. I highly recommend these jeans!!

I normally wear a size 14, but they didn't have my size so I decided to size up one and go with the 16 short.I am 5'3" with a 26" inseam. As expected, these are a little big on me in the waist, but completely manageable with a belt. I actually like having the little extra room for comfort. The length is absolutely perfect! I like pants to just reach the top of my foot. The wash is nice and dark and the trouser cut on these makes them suitable for the office as well. The fabric is just the thickness I would expect -- not thin, but not so thick that it is stiff and uncomfortable. The front pockets are nice and deep, big enough for your cell phone to be stowed away securely. There is no pinching, pulling, squeezing, scratching, or rubbing anywhere. They are truly comfortable!I don't know what it is about Gloria Vanderbilt jeans, but they always seem to fit me just right and they become my favorite pair.

I bought 2 pairs on these that were NWTs in a thrift store about 5 years ago. But they are too tight in the legs for me now, so I ordered theses. The prices is great and I love the jeans put they are not as thick of material as my old ones, they weight considerably less. Still well worth the low price I got during the spring sale. But I don't think I'd paid the full price for them.The sizing does seam to be different between different colors of them. I ordered one pair to try using the size chart. And they were a little big so I ordered more colors in a smaller size. One pair of them is still big. But I can sew, so I'm going to take them in at the waist. For less then $20 not worth the return.I'd still recommend them based on the low price. But I can of want to order some from Penny's and see who the weight of the fabric compares. I prefer the new ones, but also know thin jeans don't last as long.Oh yeah, if you have bigger calfs like me these jeans are great. They are more of a straight leg then a tapered.

The Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda line is great. I've purchased multiple pairs. I did have to go down one size. I ordered my usual size and unfortunately washed them before trying them on. They're fine with a belt. I'm able to pull the smaller size down over my hips while still fastened. They stay up well without a belt. I had ordered a pair 2 sizes down which still fit me, but was more form fitting than I like.A word of caution on the color "Rinse Noir". I washed and dried the jeans before wearing them, but the color comes off easily. I get blue suds when I wash my hands after pulling the jeans up. I wouldn't dare wear them in my husband's car with the white interior. (The color is nice, though. Almost a blue/black). Just a thought in case you have light colored seating in your car or house.

Amazon suggested a size smaller than I usually wear which I was nervous about ordering but was pleasantly surprised they fit beautifully and are very flattering. Shocking for a non-plus size shopping venue. I normally buy from Plus size only stores or catalogs. Well worth the money. May order other colors now!!

I ordered Scottsdale (deep blue) and got coffee bean (Deep brown). I hate brown. So was not happy with the mix up. This was my 5th pair I’ve bought in the last 5 years. The brand has really gone down hill. The two light & 1 medium blue I bought years ago were great but I lost weight but the black I bought more recently were a lighter material with and even though they fit size wise, the shape was kinda weird. Bulky and shapeless, not at all flattering.

I LOVE these GV Amanda jeans. I tried the first in 18W, as I like a very comfortable fit, but they really stretched, a lot within an hour of wearing, so I bought another in 16W. I am so happy I took the chance for the smaller size as I could barely keep the 18W up by the end of the day, even with a belt. The Amanda jeans are high quality fabric and sewing, and very soft, stretchy and forgiving as they mold to your body and loosen through the day. (I sit a lot on my job so I need sitting comfort and standing movement while yet neat looking). They actually are more amply cut in the thigh and calf than most who call themselves "relaxed" fit (though I could use even a bit more room as I prefer mine very loose...but then it looks baggy standing). My hour glass has shifted with sand towards the middle as I am now a matronly grandma, but these jeans look nice and trim on me. For those who like reference, I am 5ft 6in, 195-200, with measurements 44/39/44. They are even long enough for my long legs. What's the best news, I bought 3 more 16W in several colors (Frisco and Calisto), and the consistency of sizing and sewing was EXCELLENT unlike so many manufacturers where a size can vary greatly between clothing samples. ALL FOUR arrived and fit perfectly the same out of the packaging. Highly recommend to any mature woman who wants a trim looking jean that offers movement and comfort too.

I ordered these for work and was pleasantly surprised. Most jeans are either too big or too small on me, or uncomfortable. However, these jeans are very comfortable and they fit so well. They are not too baggy and not too tight. The only small issue is that mine are a bit too loose around the waist, yet I'm unsure if I should size down because I dont want them to be too tight either. It's nothing a simple belt cannot fix. I will definitely be purchasing more of these!!
