So I am an amateur woodworker. And I needed to block off entrance to my kitchen. So I built Saloon style doors, using 1x3's. The doors ended up being roughly 8 feet tall, 21" wide, and 2 1/4" thick. And hence my problem. My doors were to thick for the saloon style door hinges. The hinges rated for doors this thick, were priced at $900 or or more for a set. Then I found these, for I think it was $8.00 Figured what do I have to lose. And they work. Yes it is tight, but the door does not rub on the wall, and the doors swing freely, as they are supposed to do. These literally saved my project. Now I just need to create a latch, Stain the doors, and they are done. Oh, the doors each weigh roughly 30lbs. again, these hinges work great.

I have had these installed for over a year, and they are worry free.

These cafe hinges did the trick for making our own homemade doggy cafe doors. Add a piece of wood painted white, some 3/16” Plexiglass and voila! Dog is just afraid enough of them to not push past them but us and visitors can walk right through them and they close by themselves (or we can prop them open if need be). This was the test set, I’ll probably redo the actual door part so the screws aren’t visible on the next set. Definitely would buy again.

I needed a double swing, quiet, hinge. The work awesome. Absolutely no noise, unless someone walks through a little to fast and snacks the wall, but the added clear rubber doorknob bumper helps with that. Easy to install. Looks great.

We didn't use these after all and the plan changed for their use by the time I needed them for finishing the master bath. Esxremely good quality, incredibly well packaged, and helpful customer service to return unused.
