10-Inch Memory Foam Mattress with Stay Cool Technology, Queen

Our pillow top Cal King mattress we had spent $1400 on was ten years old, and IT WAS BRUTAL! I have back injuries, and my husband does as well. Not a day went by we weren't waking up in utter misery. It was so bad, we were often finding ourselves sleeping in round robin routines on the sofa, in with one of the four kids, or just about anywhere to avoid our bed. During my last pregnancy, with the existing back injuries, and having developed clotting, I honestly woke up in tears and finally had to just stop sleeping on it all together. Finally, during our last move (husband is active duty military) we left that thing at the dump, and vowed our first purchase would be a new mattress. After HOURS and weeks, of exhaustive research, at the previous house and then upon arrival here, and honestly, being willing to pay much more than this, we decided to take a chance on this one anyway. We figured we could always move it to a guest bed if we didn't love it. So, honestly, we didn't expect the world. However, it unpacked easily, we let it rest and air out, and fill for an entire day. It honestly didn't even need it, and then slept on it the first night. That first week was a bit of an adjustment to sleeping on a memory foam mattress for us. It is a firmness in a different way. However, we BOTH woke up without back pain!!! That being said, we had some weird areas of shoulder pressure or hip pain. After about four nights, those were gone, and everything settled in perfectly. I did end up ordering the Pinzon overfilled mattress topper for it. It gives just a bit more fluff and loft, and is a perfect balance for us. It has been a couple months, and we couldn't be happier, especially for the price! We hope to eventually transition our kiddos over to these, as well! Just to note, this mattress hasn't been slept on yet. But it sure was very firm the first time I laid on it. The cute little card that comes with it says "..place mattress on bed... cut open and unroll... watch it expand and enjoy...". NOTHING IS SAID ABOUT WHICH SIDE GOES UP, BOTH SIDES LOOK THE SAME AND NO MARKINGS! Then I realized that maybe it shouldn't be this firm. Turning it over made a difference. "Allow one week of use for your mattress ... to reach optimal comfort while it acclimates to your body..." That sounds more like a bed partner not a mattress.

If you like sleeping on a rock or the floor, this is the mattress for you. I notified them within the first 30 days that it was too hard. They sent me a foam topper. I told them after a week that it wasn't helping that much. No reply. They say they have a satisfaction guarantee. They do not. They say the price is an introductory price. It is not. Price has not changed. I bought it in October. The mattress never unfolded to the full 10" so I was able to put the 2" mattress topper inside the mattress cover. It still slides around. Hate this mattress. I have fibromyalgia and spinal arthritis and wake up EVERY DAY in extreme pain feeling like I haven't slept at all. My 2 year-old grandson doesn't even sleep well on this mattress. He wakes up cranky and frequently wakes up during the night. He only does this at my house. I would love to burn this mattress in effigy, but it would only leave me with no mattress. Going to try and sell it as Red Nomad will not take it back.

I recently purchased a Queen size 10 inch memory foam mattress through Amazon and have used it for a week. This is my first memory foam mattress (previously I have had memory foam toppers). I mostly like the mattress. In the middle it has the perfect (for me) firmness. However, if there are two of us in bed we are not on the middle strip and the sides are much softer. It doesn't look like a failure to expand, as the mattress appears to be in the correct shape with good edges. I'm just disappointed with the inconsistency in the firmness from the center to the edges.I emailed Red Nomad because there's a 5 star guarantee flyer that comes with the mattress. I explained exactly what I did above and asked if this was typical. I got a response within minutes saying it was typical, be sure to have it on a platform or slats (which I do), and if I sit on the edge it will be softer than the center (which wasn't my complaint - it's sleeping off the center line that makes a noticeable difference). Overall, the bed is good enough for me to use and not return (something needs to be incredibly terrible for me to return) but I won't order it again. A friend has a mattress from another company that doesn't seem to have this issue.

I go by reviews. Sounded Great, Wanted a bed to support my back. At first itwas nice and felt firm, after only a month it's starting to soften and sink in on the side I sleep on, I'm 5 ft, 115lbs. And make sure you measure it, it's bigger than my queen box spring, over hangs all around, have to squish in to fit in bed frame. Plus it went on sale right after I bought it, but Amazon wouldn't refund the difference, plus I called to find out the cost and procedure to return it, haven't got an answer yet. I don't like doing bad reviews, but if it helps an older single woman on a fixed income with a bad back, that's a good thing. And not sure if it's me or the bed, but I sweat alot!
