What are dim's of the main desk surface? Someone said 47x18, but "18" sounds wrong (too narrow?). Also, how high above floor is the rear/upper shelf?

From the floor to the top surface of the back shelf is 38.25" keep in mind the unit is on wheels so that adds to height. From the floor to the surface of main desk is 31.25". It's 47.25" wide and 17.75" deep which sounds narrow but it works for laptop or keyboard/ mouse. The total depth (desk and top shelf) is just about 29". The bottom shelf is 16" deep and 39" wide. From the floor to the bottom of the lowest shelf is 24", and there is 5.5" clearance. the bottom keyboard shelf fully extended adds another 10.5". I really like this desk and it was easy to assemble. Also I like that the rack mounts are at an angle. Hope this helps.
