I love this guitar.
The good: the price was great. It looked great. Sounded good, a little tin-y but thats to be expected with such a small body guitar and it gives it a unique sound compared to a standard dreadnought acoustic. Very slightly banjo-esque sound. It's great for a backpacker/campfire guitar or to practice quietly at home without waking people sleeping in other rooms or adjacent apartments. Some people complained about the smell but it's just the smell of the new plastic and adhesive of the case(any smell disappeared)The bad: The action was always high near the lower frets and has got a little worse. The zipper pulls on the case have almost all broken off but they don't even come with the hard case like mine anymore so idk.In the end I've loved this guitar. I feel like I've played a million songs on mine and if it ever becomes totally unplayable I'll order another just like it.

Almost a 5
I purchased this guitar to keep my fingers in shape while travelling on business. For that purpose it is very effective. I find myself playing for hours in my hotel room and have even written some song outlines with this guitar. The Good: It's light and compact. The neck has a nice feel and is easy to play (with the strap). The tone is "okay" for a travel guitar, (it's thin but what do you expect out of a guitar this size). The guitar overall seems sturdy. The Bad: It's a little bit long to fit right in the overhead bins on an airplane. It will fit length-wise but then roller bags no long fit properly. This is a minor gripe as the crew on all my flights have helped me find available space for it either on top of other bags or behind the last row of seats. The intonation isn't great and overall it goes out of tune quite quickly while playing. Higher quality tuners would have been nice.Summary: Great travel guitar for the money. It's better than those neck only kits to practice on as it actually plays notes, but is definitely not a guitar "replacement". It's fine for a few nights away from home to keep the fingers in shape.

small, but poor quality
I bought this guitar to teach a younger student. The size fits his hands, but the quality is quite poor. For the value it is just 'okay.'

Surprising quality for the price.
I got this when it was $110, which was not very long! For that price, I got a travel guitar with a considerable level of finish. The wood is beautiful, and I'm glad I chose the red color. The red is a little more subtle than the photo suggests- in a good way. What can I say, it's an inexpensive Washburn, but doesn't seem like a cheap guitar. The tuners are not bad at all- I took it right out of its case, stretched the strings, tuned up and started playing. It needs to be tuned every 3 or 4 songs, but that's true of most guitars I play (I bend a lot). One day I might replace the tuners with nicer ones, and that's something I tend to do with my guitars anyway. The neck meets the body in such a way that I can solo better than I can on my full-size acoustic. You're not going to play "Eruption" on this thing, but why would you want to? :)The sound is also louder than I thought it would be, and of course the size does make it a little "plinky", with sort of a banjo effect sometimes, ukelele other times. Depending on how hard or light you strum, you can actually use this quality to achieve a range of styles on the guitar. A soft touch ends up sounding like your typical acoustic, with some rich tones to be had. I haven't detected any fret buzzing, and a little Finger-Ease got rid of the finger sliding noise that comes with new strings. The case is a semi-rigid one, like a gig bag with hard foam inserts. Definitely good enough for carry-on, but I wouldn't check it as luggage. You also get a little bag of thin Washburn picks, a spare compensated bridge, a truss rod adjustment key (I'm actually surprised the guitar HAS a truss rod... bonus!), and a how-to-play CD.Really, this is a better deal than you'll get anywhere else, and in my opinion this guitar outshines the Martin travel guitar. I did not expect to be able to say that.

BABY I'M AMAZED!!
I've been playing mostly acoustics over 30 years, I own a D35 Martin, Epiphone DR-212, Zager ZAD50, American Fender Strat, Gibson Studio Les Paul and have owned many others. When my Little Red Traveler showed up at my door I was excited, but my expectation bar wasn't set too high. I unpacked the Traveler and gave it the once over,, WOW, nicely made. Neck was perfect, just the slightest bow, frets were finished better than my Gibson when I bought it. I found some wet/dry sand paper, I think 200 grit and spent about 10-15 minutes sanding down the bottom of the bridge bone. WOW #2 the action is much above average acoustic guitar quality, no buzz, perfect pitch at the octave and is a joy to play. The tone is unique, not quiet, and unless you are expecting Martin sound, definitely not offensive. The sound is kind of acoustic guitar/ukulele, banjo ish. I'm thinking with a nice pickup it would make quite nice/unique a acoustic lead instrument. Plays great to the top fret. love it! Unbelievable instrument, a pleasure play. Oh and the case is a $40+ freebee ;))) Buy one, be happy. One last thing, another post mentioned putting your right arm outside the strap and tying between the tuning keys, that works well.

Super nice.
Picked up some Blue Steel lite stings and some brass abalone pins to enhance tone. Also was the last to pick it up for $118.50 shipped to my door. If you like a parlor guitar, this might be for you. The case is kick ass too, easily a $50 value.Update: After putting on the brass pins and adding a snark tuner, along with putting on new strings, this guitar rocks. Putting the brass pins keeps it from being too top heavy and helps to improve tone. This is my go-to guitar. Sounds good and has great intonation. The only fore-seeable upgrade would be to get closed geared tunners but the open geared work fine and hold tunning. I have a washburn D-30 and love this just as much for 1/3 the cost.
