I bought this as my previous was pretty old (3rd ed) and I wanted to look up my medication and it was not listed. So I decided to buy the 11th ed. Firstly I bought the kindle version but returned it. Nothing wrong with-it i.e. but sometimes I like books to flick through.The 11ed is a large thick bookIt has 4 main Sections.1st sections covers understanding and using drugs. For example how they work, tolerance, managing your treatment etc.2nd section covers the major drug groups and different areas of the body that they cover eg, brain heart ,nutrition, skin etc. So very comprehensive.3rd section. A=Z drugs. Which not only covers medical drugs but vitamins and minerals as well. Complementary medications, and medications and travel etc. What to do if you miss your does.Section 4 covers information and index, resources and drug finder.The drug finder is useful what it does in a few sentences gives a quick reference point. The list is so comprehensive covers medical and alternative medications eg. Warfarin. It lists the page number and also references another page as warfarin is an anticoagulant .So You can read up how anticoagulants act in the body, the role the drug plays.There is also a brief section at he back on first aid, recovery position , seizures and CPR. The book also tells you per drug the side effects that are possible , interactions, special precautions.I am very impressed with this book. I love dipping in and out of it. That may be because of my medical background. Its an excellent book for anyone.

A wonderful , extremely useful reference book , I've had a copy in the house for many years & was happy to order the latest edition.It has simple easy to understand listings for a wide range of medicines &:drugs , one per page in the main section . Yet again I have passed on my old copy to a friend to use .This book gets full marks from me.

As a healthcare uni student, this book provides a good insight to drugs and the type of drugs. Has lots of useful information about administering drugs etc.Will become useful when I go into placement and for theory use.

It’s 2021 AND uk published! It’s amazing! Gives info and almost all drugs, side effects, why they’re used, drug groups- it’s a very thick book and great value for money!
