Versatile backpack
This is a great product at a competitive price. It is the right size at 40 liters to take on s plane as carry on luggage. Then it can be expanded to 50 liters with its zip around compartment. It has a chest strap and a waist strap making it ideal for walking on rough ground or hill climbing. It is lightweight and rugged at the same time. It has six clinch straps making a nice solid pack regardless of how full it is. Nicely padded with mesh material, it it good for the long day hike.I should have ordered this earlier as it was scheduled to arrive just in time for my planned trip. Then it arrived 15 hours later than promised so I had to delay my ground transport and then pack in a rush to make my plane. Mostly my fault but still a minor inconvenience.I am using the backpack in Germany and Ireland for this trip and it is ideal in every way.

Good quality, comfortable, and spacious
I bought this to use when riding my motorcycle. I needed a bag large enough to carry my lunch bag, 32 oz. water bottle and a change of clothes. This works great! I love the expandable feature (40-50L), the straps are comfortable, and the chest strap was a must. I also appreciate that the waist strap was not padded, as it tends to be too bulky when on the bike. The zipper construction is good, and there are ample smaller pockets and zippered sections for my phone, wallet, tablet, etc.

Incredible bag for the money, perfect for travel
Holy backpack batman! I bought this as a carry on bag for a trip to the arctic. My carry on could not be heavier than 22 pounds without having to pay for another checked bag, and it had to fit United's space limits (which they never actually checked for me, but they did for others). At the same time, I wanted to have extra room in case I bought stuff and wanted to have space for the way back. This backpack really came through. It feels super solid, and I could cram an amazing amount of stuff in and still have it fit in the overhead bin or even under the airplane seat. It withstood an arctic environment. While it never got wet per se, it did get a bit of snow on it. The zippers are strong and smooth. There are not too many stupid pockets, but just enough pockets. I stored a rain cover in the oddly shaped outer bottom pocket. While it was not comfy enough to go on a long hike with (it would need more fulsome hip and chest straps for that, and a more supportive back), it was more than good enough to take me through airports and on short trips. I used the roomy outer front pockets a lot, so much so that the pack at times became a little bit front heavy, if that makes sense. The buckles on the very outside front of the bag make no sense to me, and I didn't use them. I also never needed to expand the bottom. This is an incredible value for the money. For reference, I'm 5' tall and about 120 pounds. I'm sure it looked huge on me, but I was able to tighten the shoulder straps all the way and get the pack to sit just about as high as it should on my back. With a little work you can take the chest harness straps off and move them up higher onto the shoulder straps as well. This pack was a godsend. I'm a little bit in love with it.

The Airfare Super Saver Backpack!
The media could not be loaded. I liked this backpack so much I decided to make a short video about it.Here is the backstory of how I found this pack and why I like it so much.Airlines now sell super cheap ‘Basic Economy’ fares. With this fare you are not allowed to carry-on a roller bag. And if you try to take a roller you pay the check bag fee plus a penalty of $25 at the gate.In my experience they will let you on at the gate with a backpack as a personal item that may be bigger than their personal item spec. This made me look for a backpack that expands to fit the stuff I normally put in my roller but also compresses so that I can use it as my computer day bag after I arrive at my destination. This pack is just perfect for this!In its compact form it is just a bit bigger than my normal computer bag with a nice sleeve for my computer. It has a fantastic expansion system (see the video) which allows me to pack everything that was in my roller. It has compression straps so that I can cinch it down to a size that will fit under my seat if necessary. It is super light and super durable. The materials are heavy duty and the workmanship is as good as the most expensive name brand packs. It has just the right number of external pockets (I hate having too many cuz I just lose stuff). For my needs the one complaint is it has too many cinch straps and an unnecessary waist strap. But I can see how those might come in handy for camping. The price is insanely great. I can’t believe they can manufacture and ship it for $27!!! It pays for itself twice on just one trip where I save $30 each way for checked bag fees.Bring on those super saver Basic Economy fares I’m in! :)

Good for short camping trips
I recently purchased this pack for my 10 year old son for a camping trip, and overall, I'm pretty satisfied with it. The backpack is lightweight and has a good amount of storage space, which is great for multi-day camping trips. The adjustable straps and waist belt provided decent comfort, but the waist belt has no padding, so I feel like it would be very uncomfortable on a long hiking trip. The material and construction seem durable, but the zippers can be a bit finicky at times. Overall, I think this is a good backpack for the price, but it may not be the most comfortable option for long hikes. The expandable storage is actually pretty significant, but stretches out the carrying straps on the back making it harder to put things into them. I really wish there were more attachment points for putting gear on the outside of the pack. i.e. tent/sleeping pad/etc. OR at least make the bottom straps clippable/detachable so you can wrap gear into them. Currently, you have to hope you can stuff whatever you want to go in them without pulling the straps out. I’d pay a little extra just for clips on there. If your only intention is using this for a backpack or carry-on/etc. I think you’ll be very happy. I think it needs a few minor modifications to get a full 5-stars for an inexpensive camping/hiking bag
