Q: what is the worst feature of this product?

There is no worst feature. It looks good, works beautifully and the stand folds for easy storage. For the money I think it is the best one out there.

Q: is this mandoline dishwasher safe?

I have not tried to wash in dishwasher, so I do not know. Sorry.

Q: Can it be cleaned in a dish washer?

I did put it in the dishwasher, not a problem. comes out clean and shiny, later I washed it by hand, didn't turn out shiny.

Q: Does it cut hard vegetables like beets or sweet potatoes?

I cut potatoes all the time. works great. be carefully though, I did cut my finger once. Now I wear the protective gloves.
