A path to self-healing
I have been reading this book in bits and pieces for an entire year. This book has supplemented my personal journey of therapy and beyond. It takes a while to digest the kind of things the author is writing about and I mean tj go back to different parts of the book to fully understand the potential this book carries to heal me. Simply written with powerful thoughts to consider. A must have for anyone who wishes to embark on a journey of self-understanding and who believes that there are parts inside us that drive what you do and how you feel.

Great Reading for IFS Clients and Therapists
Even though I am an IFS therapist, I still found many new nuggets of insight from Richard’s writing. This is also a great book for clients who are working with an IFS therapist to deepen their process.

It could have been an article
Repeatability of the core subject over and over to fill a book

there is more to therapy than CBT but this book in itself is not going to help you practice IFS
this was a discovery for me. someone told me about IFS and I was so curious. I had worked with therapists before but mainly CBT and I had just gotten to know about maladaptive schemas so when I started reading this book, I was hooked. the idea that we have parts and those parts need to be seen for who they are is so so interesting but it is hard to do this using just this book. I tried looking for online videos and podcasts but I think this is yet to be researched well enough so IFS needs I guess more real advocates.good quality wrt productionmaybe therapists who know some techniques can make use of this but how well can individuals do it themselves is something the author has not addressed honestly and on that I felt a bit misled.
