Excellent Air Fryer with just a couple of negatives
This is the perfect size for me and the Mrs. It does an awesome job of cooking and is evenly done, although care must be taken on placement inside to provide even cooking. That is a bit of a learning curve but to me it's better to keep it lower if possible as there are 4 elements on top and only 2 on the bottom. It is a bit of a challenge to figure out the settings but is easy enough to diagnose. I do wish it had an off or cancel button. If you accidently hit a button on it the unit begins to run even if your not intending to use it. We generally only use the A1 standard air fryer setting, but the other ones to this day I have not totally figured out what they all do. She runs it mostly so I haven't took the time to study the other settings. The digital readout is perfect, easy to see what your doing with it so it's not hard to learn it. As far as the cooking it's the only one we have owned thus far but it always does a nice job cooking for us so no complaints there. We have learned not to get it too close to the top or it will have the tendency to burn a bit. Nice well designed and pretty roomy to cook with. I do recommend this!

EASY TO USE AND COOKS GREAT AND EVENLY !!!
The media could not be loaded. My old toaster oven was on its way to retirement so I was in the market for something new. There were so many choices out there so I was a little intimidated, but I chose this Val Cucine Air Fryer Toaster Oven and thankfully I was NOT disappointed! My PROS are that it's:1. Easy to use - Controls are intuitively obvious2. Easy to clean - Mostly because it's a pretty large unit so it's easy to wipe inside3. (Most Importantly!) Cooks very, very evenly and well - This one I can't stress enough. I've used plenty of toaster ovens where one side gets super burned and just doesn't cook evenly. This Val Cucine gets it totally right as far as I'm concerned!I will mention a CON in that the instruction booklet is not the worst written but I've seen better. Although the recipes in the back of the booklet were a nice add. But at the end of the day you will know how to operate it and the instruction booklet does not take away from the actual quality of the product so I still give this 5-stars.Things to note:- There is a special "preheat" that occurs only under some of the air fry preset functions. To "preheat" for other settings like bake or broil, you will just need to add a few minutes to the timer and wait. This was not very clear in the instructions so I thought to add it here.- There is always a timer that runs. Not sure if this is how most products are now, probably to prevent people from leaving the appliance on indefinitely, I just wanted to mention this. It's not a big deal if you are going to roast something for a long time, you can set the timer for hours if need be.- It's best to use the proper/different levels for the rack when cooking; this will give you the most even cook. I know this seems like an obvious "duh" but it's really for folks like me who are sometimes lazy to move the rack.- I've added a few photos for reference: cooking up some broccoli-rabe; air frying french fries; and a very evenly toasted Italian bread albeit slightly on the darker side which is how I like it, as you can see. It's a really, really well made air fryer / toaster oven that is very easy to use and seems very dependable. I'm definitely happy with it! I hope this review helps folks in deciding! Good luck!

New to air fryers
This product is a mutli-tasker and does just about everything. I am still learning all the functions and possibilities. It does eliminate many appliances in the kitchen and frees up counter space. Find I am even using the microwave less. Definitely better flavor and texture than microwaved food. Enjoyed not having to heat the kitchen using the conventional oven during summer months. Getting things as clean as I would like is rather time consuming, but the components do seem to clean easily.wish that food designed for air fryers was not marked up in price over the conventional varieties, but I am finding that many conventional products work well in this appliance.

Didn't last
I purchased the unit in Jan '22 and it is now June '24. You might think that's quit a while to use an appliance, however, I rarely used it. Here's why. My favorite thing to do is cook. Although I'm not a classically trained chef, I do cook daily. When I say cook, I don't mean heating up already prepared frozen stuff from the local supermarket, I'm talking about from scratch. Friends told me "you really need an air fryer, they're amazing!". So I bought this one. Well come to find out, air fryers are nothing more than little convection ovens. They don't fry, they bake (and some dehydrate, etc). This is why I said that I rarely used it. Today I was going to bake a potato and didn't want to heat up the whole kitchen with my regular oven. A few minutes into the baking and the unit died. In the time I've owned it, I've used it perhaps six times a year, compared to my 14 year old toaster oven that I use multiple times a week. So in roughly two and a half years, I've used it about fifteen times. For arguments sake lets say twenty times. I paid just over $200.00 for it, so divide that by the twenty times I've used it, that works out to $10.00 per use. Pretty expensive proposition indeed! $10.00 baked potato?? Yikes!! Here's my final thought and hopefully I can save you some money (a lot in my opinion if you buy from this company), if you generally buy frozen packaged food because you don't like to cook or don't have the time, then an air fryer might work for you, just don't buy this brand. If you like to cook from scratch, spend your money on a good knife or perhaps a high end pan, you'll be better served.
