Top shelf quality, definitely individually crafted, and not stamped out of a machine
I took a chance and purchased a set of five so that after a bit of very minor engraving I could create a set of heirlooms for my sons and nephews and myself. I researched multiple kukri knives and I went with this one for how it was manufactured, not stamped in a machine, and the quality of the handle and pommell specifically. There are tails of return issues but this was Amazon prime, how was just worried about the quality when I received these and I have to say, these are 100% the real deal. I could not be more impressed. No, they're not going to come out of the packaging ready to shave strips of paper, but the blade, handle, and finger guard our carved out of an individual piece of steel, not welded together, not a single piece with a ring guard slid up in front of the wooden handles, this was one big chunk of steel formed into a single blade and handle with finger protector and a pommel that won't let it fly out of your hands. This is suitable for putting on the wall on two pegs as a decoration as I intend it and also to put on your hip and use in the bush, I just wanted a matching set of a high quality knife for my kids and nephews for them to glance at long after I'm gone and this was an absolute perfect heirloom item that would also trust to defend my kids life his hip as a soldier. Magnificent quality, I may add pictures later to show the blade is slightly fluted and not just flat steel cut into the shape of a kukri ... Carolyn of this and each one has its own mild flaws you have to look for that show that it's truly handcrafted but not literally flawed at all. It's larger than it looks in the pictures also... Buy this. (In my case, I bought five and I'm very happy with the thought these will be a lasting memory of an uncle and a dad long, long after I'm gone.)

Beautiful, affordable, tip was flawed.
I never write reviews, but here we go... Love the weight and balance and the edge is good enough combined with the weight. However... The tip is slightly bent, as if it was dropped on the tip at some point, great price for what you're getting, just a tad disappointed with that one flaw. I would recommend that you don't let this put you off, it's probably a one off.

Be patient. Shipping takes a while but worth it.
Knife is a beautiful example of old world craftsmanship. Always wanted one because I loved the shape of the blade. Metal work has file marks and other evidence of hand work that add to it's charm. I chose this style because of finger guard and wooden grip. Knife comes in the "white" so I am bluing the steel with gun blue to cut down on reflection for "night work".
