Didn’t include the cd! Holy Guacamole!

If you read to your little ones, this book (and the others) is a must-read. My three-year-old grandson absolutely loves this book. I have to read it in my terrible Spanish accent and he just giggles. He went around calling himself Skippyjon Jones for days. He told his Mother's Day Out teachers about this book and they went to the trouble of finding the book to read to the class. I got the book from the library and knew from his reaction to the first reading that I had to get the book for him (and several others, too, of course). He will be over the top when he opens this prezzie from his grandparents. My six-year old grandson will listen too.

The CD has 5 stories for other Skippyjon Jones books, but the stories do not include the book it is packaged with. That seems a bit, for lack of a better word, stupid. The 5 stories on the CD include: Skippyjon Jones, Skippyjon Jones in the Doghouse, Skippyjon Jones in Mummy Trouble, Skippyjon Jones and the Big Bones, Skippyjon Jones Lost in Spice. The book title which included the CD is Skippyjon Jones Presto-Change-O. There is a notation on the back cover about 4 of the stories so naturally one would think the title book was included. Nope. But my grandson loves these books so I will deal with the annoyance.

My grandson really likes the way this cover changes when it is moved around. We just found out about these books this Summer's reading program. So good. Funny, imaginative, good stories and silly songs. My grandson, who doesn't care much about books loves this series. I wish we had found them earlier. I would suggest you start out with the book, Skippjon Jones. For preschool the Colors and Shapes maybe good but I felt he was past those. My only complaint is the use of the word "Holy" (which I know people use all the time), but I feel differently. I change it to "Ohhh frijoles" or whatever.

It is an original Skippyjon Jones story, but it is included a bonus CD for 5 Skippyjon Jones stories (Skippyjon Jones, Skippyjon Jones in the Doghouse, Skippyjon JOnes and the Big Bone, Skippyjon Jones Lost in Spice, and Skippyjon Jones in Mummy Trouble). My 4 years old son loves both reading books with fun picturs and listening fun CD. He listens CD again and again in a car, and he remembers many sentences.I really recommend this bonus CD.Since he really loves listening all stories, I purchased other 4 books, and he enjoyes all of them as well.

Since the title of this book is Skippyjon Jones Presto Chango I thought that it was a new or different title in the Skippy series. Unfortunately I didn't read the product description very well and received just a different hardback publication of the original Skippyjon Jones book. The title and cover is very misleading so if you already have Skippyjon Jones don't buy unless you want a duplicate book.

Skippyjon Jones books are a favorite for my 3 grandchildren. Even though we already had this story, I got it because of the great new & improved cover! It is delightful & so much fun to read to the kids!

Cute book! We love the Skippyjon Jones books!!! When I read these to grandkids we laugh a lot and they keep me on my toes with the words in them, too!! Very cute and funny books! Bravo to the author!
