The 1-rung OEM step ladder on our Bayliner Capri was just obnoxious for the family to use. You practically had to bring your knee to your ear to step up out of the water. Even the teens were getting weary of it. So we installed this one. Appears to be good stainless of a sturdy gauge and solid construction. I had to dremel off the OEM stair stops from the bottom of the swim platform, then put a 3/4” block of starboard under the platform, drilled holes through both, and fastened with four quarter inch grade 8 stainless bolts (4 inch long). The ladder comes with stainless wood screws... I wouldn’t even consider using anything but through bolts with washers and nyloc nuts. It supports my body weight with zero flex. (I go 198 pounds)Now getting in and out of the boat is a breeze!

Our skiboat came with a single-step ladder, which made it surprisingly difficult for an adult to board from the water. I tried a portable ladder hung over the side but in waves it was very unstable. Accidentally came across this product and was impressed by the low price. Surprised when it arrived--the thing is built like a tank out of heavy-gauge stainless. Couple of through-bolts later and it's a welcome addition to the ski boat. Wish I'd found this thing years ago.
