Sound Phonics Phase Three Book 1: EYFS/KS1, Ages 4-6 Paperback – Import, 1 January 2010

While waiting for our phonics program ( All about Reading ) arrive from US, we decided to introduce phonics to our son using the UK based “ Jolly Phonics” . Our son really loves singing the jolly phonics rhymes and learned the all the 26 letter sounds. This book series follows the introduction sequence of phonemes as in jolly phonics groups. The approach is really gentle with simple CVC words introduced based on first 5 group of letters and a few sight words. After completing this book ( took him 2 months ) he was able to read BOB books set 1 ( beginning readers ) independently. We are currently going through the phase three book 2 and loving it. I would highly recommend this series as supplement to school or at home based phonics learning program.

I really like these books they are brilliant I used them for my daughter n she lived it .it is short to the point n she was able to do it on her ownmost of the time. Now I used it for my son. My daughter is 5 can pick any books to read. My son is4 and reading This helped them to remember the sounds.

Great resource, easy to photocopy for use in the class. The children love their little activities they do. Have purchased the books from the other phases which are great too.
