D4169 Dual Wireless Headphones & Earbuds Set for TV Watching with Bluetooth Transmitter, Personalized Volume Control, Plug-n-Play, No Audio Delay

This headphone set is really great. You get a receiver and 2 types of head phones. One is earbuds and the other one goes over your ears. The sound is crisp and clear. The set-up is very easy and simple. This is the best earphone set that I've gotten. My next point is very important. Their customer service is superior. They are so fantastic I wish they would teach and train other companies how to do customer service. If you have any issues whatsoever you can email them and they get back to you asap. They are very friendly and easy to work with. I would rate them an AAA+++. I highly recommend this wireless headset for tv viewing not just because of the quality but also because of the customer service. The price is really good for this device.

I bought these about a month ago and it may be helpful to mention that I only used the earbuds and not the headphones so far...The sound quality is great, actually better than I expected compared to what Ive purchased in the past. Really quick connection to your bluetooth; no issues there. I use them for a few hours in the evening and I ususally charge them every other day. They are comfortable for a good hour and a half or so, you need to take a break to let your ears breath for a few and then it's game on again. They do not completely cancel outside noise but they are pretty close. You can't tell unless there is a commercial break, otherwise they are almost perfect. I would recommend these for those who don't want to irritate your spouse with loud tv...*Bonus- sometimes you can't hear other people in the same room

Sound is clear, stays charged for a long time, comfortable over the ears. I purchased these over 3 months ago and have charged only once out of the box. I use them nightly for maybe an hour. They were difficult to connect to our 10 year old Toshiba TV but Customer service was very helpful and we got it working in no time. Don’t hesitate if you like to watch tv without disturbing someone next to you they are perfect!!

This is a nice set that works out-of-the-box. I have connected its Bluetooth transmitter to my Samsung Crystal UHD 8 series TU 850D smart TV via a SPDIF OUT optical output jack on the TV and an optical cable included in the box. At the same time, I have used an USB charging cable (included in the box) and connected to the TV to power up the transmitter. Both sets of headphones came at least partially charged and they connected immediately to the transmitter automatically upon turning each on. To turn each set on, you hold the power button on either set for 2 seconds. There is a voice you hear in either headphones that tells you that the unit has been powered up. Then, the headphones transmit the TV sound. The plus (+) and the minus (-) buttons on either set allow you to increase or reduce the volume on that set. The TV sound remains on when the sets are connected unless you turn off the sound on the TV. Per a Quick Set Manual included in the box, if you connect the transmitter to a TV via the optical cable, you can apparently also control the sound volume in each (?) set of headphones through Settings on your TV. I have not tried that yet. Unfortunately, the Quick Start Manual does not give instructions how to pair either set to a different Bluetooth source like a portable phone. Then, the User Manual on Avantree's site is the same Quick Start Manual. So, no help there. However, I have followed instructions for the N16 headphones posted on the Avantree's site to pair the neckband headphones to my Samsung phone (the main headphones should pair the same way). To pair the headband headphones to another Bluetooth device, hold the power button on the headphones for 5 seconds. Then, a small light next to the (-) sign will start flickering from blue to red and you will hear a message in the headphones saying that the headphones are now in the pairing mode. Then, on your phone, look up the Bluetooth icon. To put it into a discovery/pairing mode, turn it off and on. After a few seconds you should see Avantree as a possible device to pair with. Select it and confirm it to pair. Then, the headphones should be connected to your phone. Unfortunately, this information is not included in the Quick Start Guide. (*) It is not clear whether the main transmitter needs to be turned off or not at the time of pairing either headphones with another Bluetooth device. I was successful in pairing as described above with the transmitter being turned off. Logic dictates that the pairing with another device than the transmitter should work as described above also when the transmitter is on. However, be aware that when you hold the power button down for only 2 seconds, the headphones will connect most likely to the transmitter. Hold it for 5 seconds, to pair them with another device. (**) To register these sets and get a 2-year warranty for these headphones, on Avantree.com/warranty web page you need to enter a batch number of your set. That batch number can be found on one of the two battery (?) casings mounted on the neckband. On my set that number was T22H1 but yours could be different. (***) Be aware that to charge either headset you will need either a charger, which is NOT included in the box, or you could charge from an USB port of a laptop, for example. The USB cable with a very small C (?) plug on the other end that fits the charging port on the headphones is included in the box. I have also charged these headphones from my phone charger. (****) Each headset has a microphone built in. I have not tested it yet with say Skype. Thus, aside from the pairing information missing from the Quick Start Guide, I have no complaints. I can't yet rate how long the batteries will last, or overall usage. This seems like a quality set and let's hope it will last. My initial testing of both headsets has shown that they work well.

I did not have to pair these to the base unit. They connected as soon as I turned them on. The range is good, just can't go into the next room or it will get choppy. Sound quality is clear. I previously bought a cheaper brand set that did not come pre-paired and it would not pair to it's own unit. I would recommend these.

It was good while it lasted. One side of the headset lost sound. This is the 2nd one I got. First one last only 1 year. I will try a different company next time.

This product is AMAZING!! I suffered for years with the wife wanting me to turn the TV down - now I have my own volume control that delivers crisp dialogue, especially handy for foreign shows. SAMSUNG TV that has an optic out as well as speaker is needed for 2 viewers - one on headset & one listening to speaker as usual. Instructions for set-up are awful. Look on-line for better info. Optic / speaker setup is a bit tricky, as you need to set for optic & then come back & select speaker. Completely worth the hassle. It changed my life!

Buen producto buen sonido tienen buen alcance sin interferencias no necesitan configuración. Lo unico es el control del volumen de los cascos grandes, es detipo pulsador y cada pulso molesta molesta mucho el ruido fuerte que produce en el oido. Bastante caros

Took a while and some experimenting to get the right configuration based on the available audio outputs of our TV. Finally solved the problem. Wanted to allow the sound system to be controlled separately from Avantree D4169 system. The only way to do that was using the optical audio output from tv and connect it to a optical splitter (Andtobo Digital Toslink Fiber Optical Splitter). This splitter which I also purchased from Amazon has 1 input and 2 outputs. Allowed me to connect our sound system and Avantree D4169 system without any problems. Works great, there is no audio lag or delay.

Je laisse rarement des commentaires mais au vu de la qualité de se produit qui fait suite à 2 achats précédents ratés, celui-ci est vraiment parfait. Je l'ai acheté pour ma mère qui n'entends plus très bien. Elle est ravie. Elle porte les écouteurs car ils sont légers et ne tombent pas. Elle peut se déplacer et continuer d'entendre le son. Pendant ce temps, ça n'altère ni le son ni le volume pour les autres utilisateurs. Chacun écoute au son qu'il souhaite. Vraiment parfait et pas cher pour ce type de produit

Eerst kocht ik een bluetooth zendertje om een van mijn vele bluetooth koptelefoons te kunnen koppelen. Snel teruggestuurd toen ik merkte dat het geluid van de tv ver voorliep op de koptelefoon. Zeer hinderlijk. Kreeg het geld keurig terug. Ik bleek eentje met aptx te moeten hebben. Dus kocht ik een aparte bluetooth aptx zender én aparte atpx koptelefoon. Werkten niet samen, dus (gratis) teruggestuurd. Kreeg keurig geld terug. Compliment voor Amazon. Daarna een RF 'gehoorversterker' gekocht, met van die dopjes in je oren en dat er dan een beugel onderlangs bungelt. Irriteerde al na 5 minuten het oor. Bovendien niks voor bijv. filmmuziek. Snel teruggestuurd. Wel zelf de retourkosten betaald, want er was immers geen defect. Vervolgens een RF koptelefoon besteld uit de categorie 'tweede kans'. Deze bleek al direct dood. Mocht uiteraard terug. Uiteindelijk deze Avantree D4169 besteld. Fantastisch! Alles doet het direct en volledig. De koptelefoon zit perfect en heeft mooi geluid. Zelfs de hangende gehoorversterker is prima voor bijv. het journaal, want deze irriteert de oren niet.
