Q: Is this schoolbag good for a 5th grader who carries a lot of books?

NO ! ! ! Absolutely no way. I had to return this item because it wouldn't work well for my 2nd grader. I was also disappointed that I had to pay $5.99 to return the item, so I won't be purchasing items from this seller going forward!

Q: After reading reviews is the zipper not made very well and will break?

My daughter used this all last school year carrying heavy books and we plan to use it again this year. Has held up very well.

Q: Does a wire come with it

Hi, I didn't pick the one that came with a wire. What I ordered is the regular backpack option with only a pencil case. My son loves it. The logo does glow in the dark. Hope that helps.
