Great while it works but after only a few weeks the battery dies. Previous HR monitors could get months out of a battery

The Coospo heart rate monitor does what it advertises for the first eleven months. It provides an accurate heart rate that is updated every second or two, and it is fairly comfortable to wear. Compared to the competition, it offers good value for your money.I bought this because my cheap sports watch provided a heart rate that was wildly inaccurate. Now I can get an accurate heart rate while running, and train via high intensity interval training.I haven't had an issue with wearing the band. When I put it on, it beeps twice, indicating that it is working. After the initial 2 beeps, it doesn't make any additional sounds. Be sure to apply a few drops of water on the electrodes on the band before wearing.I tried several free sports apps, and settled on Sports Tracker. This app provides all the details I need while I'm running, and then afterwards with a graph of heart rate.Update: Had an issue with the battery. I used the monitor twice over a one week period for about 2 hours, and after a week, the battery was dead. (It was reading 2.97 volts, when a new battery was reading 3.27 volts). So I tried separating the monitor from the strap, hoping this will shut off the monitor and not drain the battery. Will update later. If separating the monitor from the strap when done exercising solves the issue, then I'll be satisfied.Update 2: After changing the battery 3 times, checking voltages, etc, I just can't get the unit to work. It won't beep twice when I put it on. It worked great for eleven months, but has now failed. Oh well, it worked great for eleven months.

I purchased the entire system- bike computer, speed sensor, cadence, heart monitor….. for the money. I feel that this was money very well spent. I could have easily spent 4x the money with garmin or others….. this system is working well.The heart monitor- this took a few minutes to get setup. (I blame this on myself…) I am not the best with electronics. However, reading the instructions a couple times and being patient was able to get the sensor paired for the first time took 5-10 minutes. Now for rides- it s literally a matter. Of put the sensor on- go ride. It auto pairs without skipping a beat ;)Strap/sensor is very comfortable. Does not move around on long rides- stays in place and just “works”.Seller just sent me some tips that I’ll include below my review, however, I didn’t need them. Nice customer service tip though.Using Tips1, Moisten the electrode area of the chest strap with little water.2, Wear the sensor on your chest( sensor will only be activate when you are wearing well the strap).3,Open Bluetooth and fitness app on your mobile device.Please don't connect our device with your phone's bluetooth directly,sensor has to work with an APP.4，Go to Settings > General > HR sensor> Pair the sensor5，Start your workout.6,Take off the sensor from strap after finished training,it will extend service life of the device.Chest Strap Cleaning Tip:Rinse the strap under running water after every use and hang to dry. This HRM works perfectly for a fraction of the cost of the name brands. I was hesitant but when I read the expensive name brand monitors getting some bad reviews it didn't seem like you got a more premium product for the additional expense. Very happy I went with this. I was also worried it wouldn't pair with other brand apps, but at least with Polar Beats it pairs just fine.I am a samsung galaxy active2 watch user and got frustrated with the horrible HRM readings from the watch sensor. While I can't get the watch to pair with this hrm, I downloaded Polar beats app on my android phone (free), and with headphones it will give me my average pace and heart rate at fixed intervals so I don't have to pull out the phone to know if I'm in the right heart rate zone. Honestly I could do fine with just this HRM and the polar beats app, but I still use the watch to get an idea of my cadence and pace midrun.Instructions - put the chest strap on first, wet your fingers and run them across the black rubber part touching the front of your sternum, and then when you attach the sensor to the 2 buttons on the front of the strap, it automatically turns on. On polar beats you go into settings and pair heart rate monitor and it will show up. You only have to pair it that first time. When youre done running YOU HAVE TO DETACH THE MONITOR FROM THE STRAP and it will automatically turn off. Leave it on and your battery will probably be dead quickly.I hand wash the strap after every run with soap and lukewarm water, so far so good after a couple months. I also wipe off sweat from the monitor with a sanitizer wipe and that's it.

I purchased this band initially over a year ago and it has worked great. Only had to buy another because my pesky spouse moved the monitor to a spot he “couldnt forget” and it is now lost. Luckily though, the price for this monitor is so affordable, yet still has quality too. Far more accurate readings than my watch ever gave me. Easy to clean. The battery seems to last for a long time as long as you remember to disconnect the monitor from the band right after you are done working out. The battery will not last nearly as long if you do not do this. On rare occasions I notice it had moments in my workout that it couldnt get a reading, but I really think this had more to do with interference from the band of my sports bra than an issue with the product itself. And this only happens maybe 1 out of 15-20 workouts. The app is okay, though I prefer my Sports Tracker app, which will still sync with this monitor. Overall, I am a very pleased customer and will continue coming back to this product if I ever need another one in the future.

Price and product are great! Only down side is the connector hook. Doesn’t feel like it’s going to last long, but it’s a perfect product for my wife as she does DDPY with me, and it was a great gift that she can use every day!!! Thank You Coospo!!!
