Great Marble run that takes time to build
The media could not be loaded. 11/12/22I’ve had this sitting on my kitchen counter for about 10 months now. It’s been a conversation piece and it’s been enjoyed all that time so it’s was definitely worth the hard work and time it took to build it. My wife even enjoys it being there. Kids seem to enjoy it the most and marvel at how it works. However, one energetic kid was a bit too forceful with it and broke off the handle. For longevity, you need to tell everyone to be easy on it and not force things since gear meshing etc can momentarily bind.FYI The handle attachment is a weak link which breaks before other more complicated pieces break. It is easily fixed by gluing a patch piece of plywood over the broken area.Original reviewI like the way this kit turned out a lot. The pieces are of high quality and fit together nicely. It’s a lot above average in difficulty and you’ll need persistence to put it together. Also there are a few areas that need tuning that I describe in my video. But once it’s tuned it works great. To summarize, you’ll need to a) add a guard rail to stop the ball bearings from occasionally exiting the spiral. You can use the left over original plywood cut out. Just find a 5” diameter guide pieces (I used 8mm film can) and use it to cut the outside diameter of the spiral. b) put a plywood wedge with 45 angle under one drop hole (finger points to location in photo) to kick the bearings forward and keep it moving c) add the correct number of spacer rings so the bearing drop freely between the plastic pieces and d) adjust the play in the flip-flop so it alternates properly. Mine works very well and people really like it as do I.

Lasting Fun and Worth the Price
This thing was so fun to put together. I have big meaty sausage fingers so I found it a bit difficult in some tight spots but I managed. I broke one small piece that I had to glue back on and I had to sand down a couple of places to get the marbles to move a bit more smoothly. Other than that it functions great. Its such a cool thing to have and everyone that comes over plays with it. This was well worth the price.

Difficult. Fragile parts. Very impressive design.
The kit is a work of art! Very impressive manufacturing...That said, this build will absolutely test your patience and core finger strength.Parts are very fragile and difficult to assemble. You need to apply just the right amount of pressure in just the right place -popping out the pieces and putting them together takes a lot of focus. Sometimes felt like using my whole body stength to fit these tiny wood pieces together without breaking them. Precision pressure and patience is required.Instructions have some errors. Expect frustrations. Work carefully. It's a neat build

Impressive and creative!
This is a 5 star product for me. I did break two pieces, some of the pieces were very difficult to push together, and it doesn’t work perfectly every time. I did also use a little super glue in a few pieces. However, the design of sending a few sheets of balsa wood, to make something like this had my wife and I blown away. It’s super impressive… I thought my 5 year old and I could do this together, not for kids lolSome comments reference a few of the issues I mentioned as reasons for knocking off stars, it’s a delicate, very elaborate, balsa wood marble theme ride… it’s not made of plastic and it’s not supposed to be a quick throw together project. The fun is in the assembly. So carve out a few nights, or weeks and enjoy this marvel! Thanks for a challenging and fun build. Highly recommend.

Fun and exciting
Gave this as a gift to my fiancé and he’s in love with this!!! Very well detailed in the instructions, the quality of the wood is sturdy. Some are small so be a little gentle when taking the pieces out of the boards. It’s definitely a lot of fun. I have ordered more.

don't wast your time or money
I can rebuild auto engines. I build remote control boats - some kits and some scratch built. This kit is awful. The little tabs are extremly difficult to "snap" into place. Then if the parts do get placed properly, it pulls the little tracks apart, to where the marbles will not roll correctly. The "support" folks suggested ordering new parts at my expense. Not acceptable.

BEST GIFT EVER!
100% the BEST GIFT EVER GIVEN! This kept my 13 year old grandson occupied and off electronics for three days! He loved every minute of putting this together that I had to buy two more for him. Great quality! Now a staple gift for grandchildren!

Assembly tons of fun, some pieces didn't fit though & doesnt work.
I had so much fun assembling this item, but am slightly disappointed that it does not work well for me when put together. As a careful 30-year-old male who greatly enjoys tasks like this and exploring mechanics, it was unfortunate it wouldn't work properly after completion. I spent several hours with precision on this project.Sure - could be user error, however there are multiple other comments that would point out specific pieces that either wouldn't connect, or the curved pieces that are too narrow and don't allow the marbles to free-flow through the track. Some wood pieces fit in their respective notch like a glove, while others didn't have enough 'meat' to secure together with its counterpart.I do recommend having wood glue handy if necessary, maybe some clips/clasps to help things set in place. They do have a spare parts board, thankfully I didn't need to use any.The instructions were pretty clear, there are a few parts which could use some clarity, though; so pay attention to detail. I do recommend gently sanding your pieces to keeps connections smooth as possible, no splinters, neat appearance. In conclusion, last night I have purchased more 3D puzzles, trying out different companies and metal vs. wood and how the precision of the cuts could make a difference. I had tons of fun assembling this but would've loved for it to been functional as well.
