A must for keeping gas powered items safe also !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are like many people who keep extra gas on hand then you know all to well it can get all screwed up over time and by that I mean lose some of it's fumes that make it easy for the spark to ignite .If stored in a container that is not tightly sealed your gas will simply evaporate and you will be left with less gas and what does remain will have some water in it. NOT GOOD !! Here is the cause that few people know about. Liquid gas does some crazy things. Below 68 deg. f . it pulls in to its liquid state some air ,with moisture and also some of it's own vapor you can see this as it happens . Notice a well sealed gas can that is 1/2 full , below 68 Deg. the sides of the can will be sucked in with about a negative 2 psi. Now the 10 percent alcohol will absorb any water in the air. If your gas tank or can is vented as it has to be while the engine is running ,above 68 deg . f. gas starts to boil off and would pressureize to up to 2 psi. if the tank or can is sealed it will expand out ,on a vented tank you will never notice this except your gas goes BYBY and now the alcohol holds more and more water THAT IS WHERE THIS DEVICE can remove it before it screws up stuf like a stuck intake valve stem and fouled carb. I now have 4 of the water sep. in use . by ---HERB THE POWERMAN--- PS . If you store gas for the long hall it has to be in a sealed container ,not vented but be aware it will expand and contracted by 2 to 3 lbs. as the temperature goes above and below 68 deg, f. make sure your storage can can take the pressure changes. store all tanks and cans outside and away from a living space or garage . don't put them next to the barbaque pit or under your mother-in-law's bed!!!!!!!!! The gas can last many years.

Compact designs fits about anywhere.
Bought this for the golf cart, works just as advertised. You get great value for the price paid. It looks and feels very well built.

Danger, danger, danger
I assembled and seemed well built with a nice compact size. After installation it developed a small leak. I never leave one star, but this is a hazard that best be avoided. Leaking fuel in engine compartment seems to be a recipe for disaster.

Peace of mind.
Spent time and money rebuilding a carb on a Mercury 6hp because of water in the gas. Gas tank only seals up so well and leaving the vent open at night doesn't help keep moisture out of the tank. This is a simple solution. Not sure who put it together, but they ate their Wheaties that day. Haven't taken it apart yet, but its definitely tighter than in needs to be.

Nice price!
Casting was clean of metal shavings and well coated. Will replace the "plier type" rubber hose clips with stainless gear type and probably replace the 10 micron fiter with 2 micron . Great price, tho. Exact mechanical fit for an OEM RACOR.
