Noctua NF-A12x25 LS-PWM, Ultra Quiet Silent Fan, 4-Pin (120mm, Brown)

I didn’t intend to buy this fan, since I wanted to use regular A12s for my U12 cooler.I hate that I’m returning these fans: they are so quiet that you can run them at maximum speed 100% of the time and they are just barely audible.They do a good job of cooling for their size and RPM, so would do really well as case fans! You could also use them as part of your CPU cooler, but be mindful of what cooler and what CPU. I have an Intel chip that runs absurdly hot. With these fans setup in a push-pull, I run them at full blast and they can do a surprisingly good job of keeping my machine cool at full load. However: I’m just not comfortable with them running at 100% as a baseline speed — because it means there isn’t anywhere for them to go if my voltage spikes in a short term load, generating a ton of heat.These fans are incredibly high build quality. I would buy them again for a different build. The cable length is sensible and short, and comes with extensions. They are not the cheapest fans but are well worth it.

I have several Ubiquiti devices and they run hot (120+ degrees) in my Leviton wiring cabinet .. this small fan was perfect to quietly cool/circulate air thru the cabinet using the newer Leviton plastic vented door .. much better .. everything is running fine!

This fan is an even lower rpm version of the popular product NF-A12x25 PWM. We have NF-A12x25 ULN in that condition, but it is a combination of PWM with ULN.It is characterized as being "virtually silent". Since the maximum speed is limited to 1200 rpm, it is very quiet even at 100% rotation.It goes well with a heat sink that is not too thick or a 240 mm AIO cooler. I've used over 50 different fans so far, and this one will give me a perfect solution in terms of both quietness and cooling.As a precaution, it is recommended to use it in an environment where the amount of heat generation is not too much because the air volume decreases as the rotational speed decreases.For example, graphics card - EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 TI FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING (11G-P4-2484-KR), if the default radiator size is 120 mm, and the fan is turned at 2000 rpm, the GPU temperature will be settled at about 78 degrees against the room temperature of 30 degrees. It's very noisy :(But I will change to a 240 mm radiator and this fan. The GPU temperature dropped to 65 degrees and the sound was nearly silent. This is a tremendous achievement.And adding two extra fans to the Push-Pull configuration further reduced the temperature by more than 3 degrees. The noise is almost the same. The lower the fan speed, the more effective the Push-Pull configuration. It's really fantastic :)This product will be the best option for those who just want to operate quietly. Cooling is at a minimum, but the extraordinary quietness you get in return will bring you peace of mind.

I added this to a Noctua nh-d15 because there wasn't enough clearance over the RAM to install the the second 140 that came with it. Using fairly standard sized DDR5 DIMMs, it fit perfectly. Attached without problem, the bail clips lock in as expected. Ran fine, without issue, quiet and quality like you expect from the company. It looks good - better than the second 140 looked, with a decent portion protruding over the top of the heatsink.Would recommend.

Love the low PWM threshold, it's super quiet, slightly audible at 80% and more. But it moves a lot of air at 40-60%. Used it with Noctua's passive NH-P1 cooler on my AMD 5950x. It works very well, doesn't really need to come on except during heavy workloads. Even though the P1 cooler is not rated for the thermal load of the 5950x, I am able to get 90% of the performance of the CPU.

Noctua fans are arguably the best out there and this one fits the bill for my applications.

I read in a previous review saying the person had used these on a Dell XPS 8960. While you can connect them and use them on a XPS 8960 desktop. Dell generates a fan error at startup. This is not the fault of the fan but rather Dell looking for OEM fans, while you can press continue and use the computer as normal. It is silent. Having to bypass the BIOS error each time at startup gets annoying. I ended up using the fans on a custom-built computer. I would recommend the fan, but not for a Dell XPS computer.

The original fan came with my PC started making big noices after I noticed some damage in the screw holes. I was looking for a replacement fan and randomly found this one. This fan is super easy to install, you don't have to unscrew anything to put it on. The rubber screws creates a perfect room between you PC wall and the fan frame; you'll never need to worry about your fan from hitting your PC wall from inside. It takes some strength to pull the rubber screws to hold but its definitely worthy.
