I raise Goldendoodles and Labradoodles, and so I go through a lot of whelping pads in a year. In the past I had been using the standard 48" x 48" whelp pads inside my boxes, but they are not quite big enough to keep them from bunching up beneath my dogs, and when whelping their feet keep sliding out from beneath them so they cannot assist in birthing their pups. I ended up having to hold my girls up all the time so they could have puppies. Also, those pads stain terribly and have to be thrown into a washing machine, so dog hair ends up plugging up my washing machine if I don't clean out the filter constantly. So when I saw these pads and how they would come clean with a hose and no slippage, I bought one. What a huge difference!!! I kept thinking, 'why didn't I buy these first?' Size is perfect at 48" x 52" for my whelp boxes, so my bumper rails keep them snug in place. And cleaning with a hose is exactly as they say, a breeze with all the stains gone instantly. They have an amazing surface that provides great traction for the moms, and I don't have to hold them up anymore. The bottom is a lovely neoprene that prevents leaks to the floor, and it sticks like a magnet to my Jonart PVC floors. I purchased 5 so I would have backups. I hose them, let them air dry, dilute a bleach mixture (very diluted or you will spot the gray colored surface), spray them down and let them air dry once more. Clean, sanitary and efficient. The pups stay in their whelp boxes until they are four weeks old, and all messes hose right off, no problem! Also, my girls nest big time. I'm talking they tear regular sheets up clawing them around. I feared that might happen with these as well, but no. Try as they might they could not tear up these great whelp pads. If I could be in love with a whelp pad, I am with this one When my life is made easier by a product, I like to tell everyone about it. And delivering puppies is a stressful deal, so these pads are a blessing!!!

Very happy with this! My dog had TPLO surgery and was confined into a 4x4 pen. After surgery she was doing great then about a week later had some fecal incontinence issues from the meds. The mat is washable and easy to keep clean: only thing is I wished I bought two so while one is drying I have another down. Buying second one now. It’s not slippery for her so she doesn’t risk injury sliding around. It keeps the one from scratching my hardwood floors. And it looks nice and neat too. Bonus that it’s made in the US yay!

Very good, but they need to improve quality. It would be great if it didn't retain odor. I wash it on delicate cycle and hang dry it. I would definitely buy again. I like how it's thin and easy to remove from the playpen. This also makes it easy to put in the washer. My puppy only peed on it once. He doesn't like to pee in his own personal space.

We just added a new pup to the family and the weather is too stormy to ensure that all "business" gets done outside. This mat has worked well to protect our hardwood floor and carpet and can be spot cleaned. (We set up an ex-pen over the mat to give the pup some occasional private time and to provide our other grown dogs some "space".) We liked the first mat so well that we purchased a second one. One note: While hosing off is recommended, we have already washed the first mat in our large LG Washer. The cycle stopped at the Spin cycle. So we did a Rinse and Spin cycle to finish the cleaning, which worked well. It is hanging to dry--and it looks like it will dry very, very quickly.

Perfect, thin mats that I use where my dog likes to mark. This protects my wood floors, even though it’s a tiny dribble, the mat absorbs and protects. They are easily cut to size. Great value, you get a pretty large piece.

This is a great product for any animal that likes to tinkle in the house while looking you in the eye after just taking them out! This mat is great and can be washed and reused.

Great grip for puppies, however washed twice and hung to dry. Starts to peel on backing so it leaks through (does not absorb).

Very disappointed with the new backing on these mats. It is plastic and stiff - which makes it very difficult to wash the mats in the washing machine - plus I am concerned the backing will peel off after a few washes. The Drymate mats I have purchased in the past are fantastic as they are easy to wash in the washing machine and the backing is high quality - so has never been at risk of coming off. Drymate has lost the plot by taking away the one thing that made their mats stand out from the competition - the good quality backing.

Rubbish - very thin and really doesn’t hold the wee leakage, not good value for money at all
