Q: Can I use a chopper circuit and run this at 300 rpm?

This is a Stepper motor, and not a DC motor. Not really sure what you mean by a chopper circuit, but I'm assuming some sort of PWM driver. If you are referring to a PWM driver circuit, then it will not work. Look for DC Motors, and not Stepper motors. There are a lot of DC motors on Amazon. (Basically) For a stepper motor you need a stepper motor controller, or something which can produce the required power pulses for each set of winding in the proper width and order. There are a lot of hobbyist that use the Arduino or Raspberry-pi development boards in conjunction with driver boards to control these types of motors. Stepper motor are used when you want to precisely control the angle and number of rotations. Each set of Power pulses on the input windings, in the correct order, steps the motor forward (or reverse). Each dtep turns the motor a set number of degrees of rotation. On this motor a single step rotates the final output shaft (after the 100:1 gear box) 0.018 degrees. It takes 20,000 steps for it to complete one revolution (360 Degrees). You can do singles steps in you want, or you can send continues steps to keep it rotation constantly. I hope this helps.
