Q: can i use this for the internal workings of a fishing reel?

I don't believe I would use it on any of my reels. It is a consistency of light grease and I would be afraid it would attract dust and get too thick in cooler weather. It works great where intended, lubricate faucet valves and other plumbing related applications. I would stick with graphite lube in my reels.

Q: Will this product work to loosen and free rusted on shower head for removal?

Nope, it's a lubricant not a rust or scale disollver
