how do you get the bit out?

You can remove the bit by holding the bit on one side and pulling the Sleeve out or you can have the bit in the Impact Driver and pull the sleeve than remove the bit from Impact Driver.

No there are Two bits and a Sleeve. one with the Sleeve on it and one spare.
