Nice size for sketches and paintings. Pretty standard. Sturdy and accurate.

I've been using T- Squares since my high school years drawing floor plans and using them for industrial design exploded view drawings. I have a 24" stainless steel T-Square that is just too large for use in some of my paintings so this 18" version seemed to fit my needs. It seems to be square and that is great. The only caveat (as someone else stated in their review) is the the plastic edge is raised and not flat to the surface so a triangle may slip under the T-Square if you're not careful when drawing your lines. Nice overall and it feels of good quality.

Great tea square

As an artist who paints with oil on canvas, this tool is very needed to measure for straight angles. The use the top of the ruler to put against the edge of the canvas and measure for any angles. Extremely useful tool.

This seems well constructed but has one fatal flaw for drafting in my mind. The outer bottom edges of the ruler are raised above the middle portion, which results in a roughly 1 mm gap between the paper and the ruler edge. This makes it hard to draw an accurate line, which is key for drafting. Its one or two stars for drafting but 4 stars for casual drawing.

My husband draws house plans and this is a good replacement item that was needed.
