How does it mount to the shower wall?

There is an additional piece, stock in many rvs and already mounted. This unit fits on that, and it’s not included here. Sorry I can’t remove what the part it called.

Drill out hole to increase flow rate?

I understand your question - to drill or not to drill. The faucet comes with a "metering pill" to reduce flow for California applications. Since I'm not in California, I did not install the pill and I can positively say there is ample water flow. No need for drilling.

Mine is leaking too at the shower hose fitting! I guess no way to resolve it? Too bad.. I don't want it to leak!

There is an anti-siphon weep hole in the black fitting. It allows the water head in the shower to drain out instead of back into your fresh water. It also prevents a back siphon in the event the hose say falls into the toilet by accident. It's a requires safety feature for RV plumbing code.
