Love this pump!
You can easily control the flow yourself, the pump is extra light and small - handy for mums on the go! Haven’t used the collector much but when I do - it works well. Great value for money and amazing design. Definitely would recommend!

Love the ladybug
When nursing I put the ladybug on the other breast to collect surplus milk. And it works like a dream I no longer have soaking wet shirts. But I am wondering if it is working more like a pump than just collector. And it might increase my problem with leaks in the future. But for now it’s good for building a milk stash.

Useful but not long lasting
The manual breast pump is great. Need to be careful if the suction is not strong enough it may fall and spill milk. However with the ladybug the fastening broke apart after 3 months of use. It would also be helpful to have volume indicators.

Soft and works!
This is my favourite buy of all my baby supplies. I’m actually excited to use it… I’ve been having anxiety about breast feeding due to the pain so I bought this product as many have recommended it. It’s super soft and comfortable yet holds in place and I can tell the suction can be made stronger or lighter depending how you put it on. I wish this was available with my first born 👏🏼

Suction lost very fast
The Haakaa manual pump itself was good for about a month or so, the main issue though is that this first generation pump has no suction base or lid, so it’s very easy to knock over. I then bought a later generation one which has both and this was way more fit for purpose. The main issue with both (particularly the ladybug) was the loss of suction. I sterilised once a week, but still the suction went downhill very fast. The ladybug completely stopped working after a few weeks, the Haakaa pump needed to be held in place by a pumping bra after about a month. If you’re considering buying a haakaa, I’d personally recommend you skip the ladybug, and buy a haakaa with a suction base and lid, and make sure you wash it before and after use with warm soapy water and only sterilise once a week.
