The Wreck Gar Figure of my Dreams
Put down that chainsaw and listen to me: This is the Wreck Gar figure of your dreams. You might not have had those dreams before, but now that you've seen it, you will. You better put all your eggs in one basket: I remember watching the 2006 DVD of Transformers The Movie and thinking the Junkions were very cool, but after looking into the official figure years later, found it very lacking. Even the Reveal The Shield figure, while slick, didn't have the same vibe. This figure captures the original aesthetic to my complete satisfaction, in a way none of the others do. Bite the hand that feeds you: Wreck-Gar is pretty blocky, and doesn't feel "premium" or glossy like Hot Rod and Kup from the same series, and even though his aesthetic is on pointe, it's the same simple junky look from the movie. But he feels extremely robust in the hand, and his rough-textured plastic feels fitting for the character as far as I'm concerned. I take his lack of visual complexity and polish as a mark of quality, not of cheapness. Get your mojo working now: Wreck Gar's articulation is excellent. Better than Hot Rod, and Hot Rod's is great. His transformation enables an ab crunch and arching back in robot mode! And he's got nice details like armpit joints that reveal when his arms are raised, a great ankle pivot, and a hand that can angle downward for more dynamic weapon poses. Even his vehicle mode's front wheel can depress using the robot mode's elbows, like he just went over a bump or popped a wheelie. You can turn the other cheek: Wreck-Gar's transformation is sleek and cohesive, and tabs together remarkably solidly. His saw weapon has a habit of popping out of its storage though. The back of his head also has spedometer and RPM guage detail that's used to good effect in vehicle mode. It's time to make a mountain out of a molehill: From the back, Wreck Gar's forearms are gaping chasms that his hands flip into, and don't cover up in robot mode at all. It's a bit lame, and could easily have been resolved, but it's not a huge deal. Mashed potatoes can be your friends: At least on my copy, Wreck-Gar's ab crunch and waist swivel are too loose. If I balance it right, I can have him keep bendy poses, but it's not a given. His hip hinges are also a bit looser than I would like, but for now, they definitely get the job done. Everything else feels firm and steady. The future's up to you, so whatcha gonna do? Dare to be stupid! Destroy Unicron! Kill the grand poobah! Eliminate even the toughest stain! Get yours today! 10/10

Love Wreck Gar!
Bought Junkheap bc I love his motorcycle mode, but I can't have him in motorcycle mode without a rider. It was either Wreck Gar or Scrapheap, so I went with Wreck Gar. Can't go wrong with the leader of the Junkions. He looks great and well built. He complements Junkheap well. Like Junkheap, I love his design and transformation, simple and intuitive. Great value for money, especially when comparing to third party Legends scale figures. Totally recommend him. Now I am wondering if I should get Scrapheap or not. I really want him to complete my collection, but I don't really care too much for him as a bike and rider is enough representation of the Junkions for me.

Beautiful figure, stunning even. As much as I want to give it a proper 5 stars. I did deduct a point for the articulation. The waist swivel is... loose, and it sort of tabs awkwardly. But perfect for display/ collection if you aren't gonna jostle it around. Nothing was broken out of the box, the spikes are a little warped but amazing nonetheless. So buy it if you really want to yknow?
