Cross Year of The Snake Fountain Pen, Fine Nib - Blue Lacquer

first of all, superb pen. Okay, this sauvage is not the same as a townsend, but a couple of dollars for a collectors items. love it

The pen is reasonable priced and cross produces a good functioning instrument. The design is poor. The cap does not snap or screw onto the barrel to provide a proper length for writing, the cap does not screw on over the nib, and the pen is poorly balanced and heavy. The pen comes nicely boxed with a pull out stand, but lacks a piston converter. How cheap can Cross be? Unless you want a “Year of the Snake” pen, buy a Pelican.

This pen reminds me of something you buy for $5 from China from Jinhao or Baoer. Yes, it's nicer, but not a couple hundred dollars nicer. For the money, they could have at least included a converter given that Cross uses non standard converters.I would say skip it, unless you find one new in box for about $75.
