BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby - 86 - Juggernaut (Shin Use), HG 1/48 Model Kit : desertcart.ae: Books Review: Nothing overly impressive in terms of detail as it's just a high-grade. However the plastic is molded perfectly and was easy to smooth out the lines! Would be a great first build for those interested in Gunpla and other model hobbies. Minimal stickers, and some options to customize! Review: Buen modelo, llegó en tiempo y en buenas condiciones.

Honestly, for a HG Bandai kit, it was... okay. Assembly was a joy and there were absolutely no issues with the construction of the model itself, however, there are some major issues with this kit that can only be solved with a bit of DiY. First off, ALL of the detail on the very dark grey subframe is almost impossible to see even in good light. You won't be able to ink or panel line these parts, so I'd highly recommend doing a dark-grey dry brush before final assembly. For the actual white armor panels themselves, they desperately need some good panel lining in order to have the details pop at all. My best advice here would be using a black panel lining ink followed by a dark or light brown wash to make the models look more weathered and like they had truly seen a battle or six. The figures of Shin and Lena are also completely unpainted and uncolored, though they are a nice beige which makes for an easy paint job. With the scale as small as it is, a simple brown for Shin's hair, and a lighter brown for his coat, some flesh tone for his face, some blue for Lena's hair, black for her hat, purple and white for her coat and skirt, and you'll have passable figures with very little real effort. The biggest crime here though is by far Fido. Fido in the show is a vibrant orange with black undertones. This is where I would expect some color correcting stickers, or a specific colored runner for him, but no. He is solid black. That means that if you want to paint Fido to be his regular orange-black color scheme you will need a multi-coat white primer, and then some pretty bright orange paint that will probably need a couple of coats in order to really stick. After that, panel line him to match Shin's Juggernaut, and weather with a basic brown wash. The fact that they didn't include his proper color straight off the runner is almost criminal at this price point.
