Great puzzle toy
Purchased for our Collie cross (24kg) should ideally have got the next size down. The way the toy works your dog needs to be able to get their mouth round the jar and lift it up. Our dog was unable to do this with this size so we had to adapt it for use, photos attached. Once adapted it is now a great puzzle toy and gives her brain a good work out. Make sure your dog is on a soft surface though as it makes a lot of noise when thrown about on tiles or a wooden floor! Would recommend this puzzle toy for those who need something more than just pushing a treat ball round the floor.

For the puppy who likes to destroy everything within reach - the Tug-a-Jug is an owners dream toy.
For the puppy who manages to destroy everything - the Tug-a-Jug has been amazing and the perfect purchase. While his Nylabones have been great, and my kitchen chairs have been a pleasant chew toy for him, the Tug-a-Jug arrived today and has kept him occupied the entire afternoon. Normally my 16 week old Collie Pup barks and whines when I leave the room (even after a hearty walk on the beach), and makes it his mission to be as destructive as possible - sowing fear and suspicion in our lives if he goes too quiet for too long. So it's been a huge contrast to hear the Tug-a-Jug happily being rolled about next door - and this evening when it went quiet he'd simply taken himself off to bed. There really are no words sufficient enough to describe this bliss.Being one of those owners who refuses to shower their pooch with too many toys (we do have kongs, nylabones and rope toys), I did use an empty coke bottle with some kibble in for the last couple of days - and while that did work well, it wasn't long before he'd removed all kibble and moved onto the plastic (not so great). If you check out this video of the first encounter of dog and Tug-a-Jug, you'll see it's just too big for his jaws. I used size small, and will definitely upgrade when he gets bigger.

Dog brain toy
Good strong construct, very easy to open the bottom as it screws on. Pop small treats such as little chewy bones as your dog is to work out how to get them out of the top of the bottle, which is much narrower. The top has a knotted rope in the top of the bottle neck, which the dog has to push down into the bottle whilst tipping it up and over to get the treats out. This is really challenging for your dog, but a great brain teaser and keeps them occupied for quite some time. They will try and cheat to get to the treats by chewing the bottom of the bottle, but the bottle is robust enough to take it. However, I would keep an eye on your dog whilst they are playing with this toy, would not leave to their own devices without supervision.

Good distraction toy.
This product was bought on a Saturday and delivered on Sunday. I'm impressed with the speed in which we got it but feel the product itself may need a bit of work. Let me say that my dog loves this toy, more accurately that it dispenses treats.Like other reviewers I found that the room between rope and bottleneck was not actually wide enough to dispense standard treats and ended up having to cut up duck jerky into slivers. My dog got around this issue by simply chewing through the rope then crying at me to remove the broken off end inside. He is still playing with it but the rubber has become a bit of a hazard as he's chewing it off to try and chew through the bottle itself. The bottle is very hardy (it is being repeatedly throw off the sofa and no cracks are showing yet) and the bottom screws off making it easy to refill.I don't recommend for dogs that destroy toys quickly if treats are involved as the plastic may not stan it. Attached are pictures showing the remains of the bottle, not featured are the screaming sounds because I had to take it off him.

Brilliant!
My Golden Retriever loves this: I’ve never seen him so absorbed by something before. Eventually he went to sleep with it between his paws (as pictured)! He’s the only dog (we’re about to remedy that) and he’s only a year old, so he has a huge amount of energy and playfulness. Luckily for us he’s a very good dog, unluckily for him we are pretty busy, and although he is with us 24/7, we don’t always have the time to play with him, and he ALWAYS wants to play. I hoped this would relieve some boredom for him, and it definitely does. He was really concentrating on trying to work out how to release the kibble I put inside. He’s a bit of an anxious dog, and didn’t like the noise of the bottle on the wooden floor, but once we put it on carpet for him, he loved it.
