Excellent sound, good-looking speakers offer great ambiance. A great value!
The speakers arrived well packed and without any evident damage. Unpacking revealed very attractive speakers reflecting good build quality. Good instructions. High quality connection points. They offer bi-amp capabilities, and I wired them accordingly. Sound is bright, complex, and has good depth. The sound is warm and appealing at low or high volumes. They are a great value and I am thoroughly enjoying these speakers. Thank you.

Excellent value for the money
I auditioned several other tower speakers, including B&W 703s, KEF Q11, Martin Logan F10/F100, and Definitive Audio DM 80s, and these speakers sound better to me than all of them except possibly the DM 80 (which has built in 12 inch subs and is more than twice the price). They do require significant power (I ended up buying a couple of 200 watt monoblocks to power them, though they didn't sound bad at 90 watts either).Sound is very full, good stereo imaging and detail. They are not overly bright sounding (like the B&W's), and have solid bass, no need for a sub for listening to music.

Polk got back in the game
After I broke the speakers in (20hr) these are great sounding speakers especially after getting them on sale.Bass kicks, highs are smoother than my b&W ‘s .Nice sound stage even in my 10 X15 man cave.Highly recommend

They're good for the price.
When I bought my first tower speakers over a year ago I wanted to audition these but never got to them as I auditioned the focal aria 936 before and absolutely loved those so I kept them. I bought these a year later during prime day. They were good speakers. They sounded pretty good but I did not like the sound compared to my aria 936s, that's kind of an unfair comparison because the 936s are double the price. Even so I didn't get the same feeling I did when listening to the focals. I likely would have kept them and put them in a second set up away from my main system but they came to me damaged and I didn't want to go through the hassle of exchange for something that wouldn't be my main speakers. With all that said though they really are attractive looking speakers that do sound good and if you're looking for speakers in this price range I think it would be pretty hard to beat. Just based off what I have heard personally with a variety of speakers in a wide price range you'd probably have to double the price (936) to get a speaker that these can't compete with. These were the darlings of every reviewer on YouTube and while they're wayyyy to sensational they arent far off the mark.

R700 more like an elite R1400
The R700 model Polk series tower speakers offer the clearest, precise, delivery being connected to my Pioneer VSX-LX505 model receiver delivering 165 watts per channel of a 9.2 surround platform. If you are an audiophile looking for a brand name make and model, hands down the Reserve model line gives you the.receiving end of an ELITE experience! I have, in pairs, the R700s, the R600s, the R500s in my surround speaker range and if you’re looking to save room from utilizing a subwoofer the R700s bough 2 tower speakers or more will eliminate any need for the bulky extra expense of needing or wanting one or two.. The subwoofers, mids, and tweeter are enough for you to be PHENOMENALLY BLOWN AWAY if you’re desiring or even questioning of buying the R700 reserve model line. Yes they are the price they are, but, each audiophile has there own preference! My contention and searching myriad is conquered! Try them buy them and overall this aircraft mechanic knows attention to detail and elite quality and craftsmanship when he sees, hears, and purchases sound of mind quality products! Get them on holiday pricing sales as they are at the highest I’ve seen for $1,199,99 EACH so Black Friday, Christmas and the alike holidays will give you the best price and trust me there’s no need to think of “BANG FOR YOUR BUCK,” involved here because the Polk Reserve series line is the ROLLS ROYCE or rather GULFSTREAM aircraft quality when it comes to the astounding effects of enjoyment with R700s!!! Professionally recommend and Audiophiles beware this model R700 model line is a flagship model for Polk that is going to inventoried for several years in the history books!!! Polk Audio Reserve Series R700 Tower Speaker, 1" Tweeter 6.5" Woofer & ...
These speakers are amazing. They replaced Paradigm Monitor 9s. The bass is so good that I almost don't need a subwoofer. (Almost) Dialog is intelligible. I have not measured anything, but they sound great. Like others have said, these are a great value.

Big, heavy with a full sound
The Polk reserve line has the neutral, clean sound that I like. I plan to keep them for as long as they, or I last. They have a refined and neutral sound. The bass is enough for most peopple and the highs are clean and not harsh to the ears. It feels like they can handle a lot of power. Beautifull speakers.
