Red one did not work! But no fault with the product. I needed this to connect my Korg NTS-1 to my midi controller. I ordered the red one thinking I’d just get the color that matched the appearance of the rest of my equipment, but after it arrived I realized that this cable did not work at all with the Korg NTS-1 and after reading a number of other reviews learned that the Blue version is the one that works with Korg products and that the color is an indication that the connection is wired differently. So I ordered the Blue version of this cable and it works perfectly. Check which color will work with your equipment before ordering!

Just what I needed, just be careful to get the one you really need.

Not knocking the product, but be super sure before you buy that your device is compatible. They offer blue and red cables-- but they are MIDI TRS Type A and Type B respectively. This isn't the company's fault; idk how the hell we ended up with two midi trs specs that are identical to our eyes, but here we are. If you have a boss or korg device go with the blues. If you're using a beatstep pro, get the reds. I really recommend searching for keywords before buying any midi trs cable.

One would think my purpose in buying this cable is to annoy my wife, but it really is very useful in connecting all my synth gear! Most devices that need an adapter of this sort come with a pair of them, so yeah, this could end up in a drawer for a while, but it works really well, and is built very much like a tank!

Fantastic adapter so I can’t review bomb the product but for whatever reason the red doesn’t work with the Boss RC500. The blue version of this exact same thing works like a charm and is a wonderful addition to the cable bag! Just gotta figure out how to send my red one back for another blue.

I first ordered from a third-party seller and received a version that was different than the description. The length was 50cm instead of 20cm — maybe some people want that. I later ordered from the manufacturer and received the pictured item. The manufacturer versions are great because they actually print “Type B” on them so you never forget.

Says it is compatible, is not.

This cable fully complies with the MIDI association specification. It is also well constructed and comes in a stylish color.

Good quality product but you seller need to mention if its type-a or type-b midi adapter.

Cable feels beefy enough. Works great for using my midi keyboard with my novation circuit or for clock sync.

does not work with any midi device i have. cable tester reveals why: this is not a midi trs type b adapter, it does connect pin 5 to the ring (and apparently that's enough to make it work with some devices if the comments are to be believed) but rather than connecting pin 2 only to the sleeve and pin 4 only to the ring it connects both pins to both the sleeve and the tip
